Hey Guys,
thanks for all the responses. As you see we responsed to all of your comments so your opinion was really important to us. In the end most of you decide that we should go on with Rocket Ranger Reloaded. But after reviewing all of your comments and also discussed it within cinemaware we will put the project on Hold. Hold means that we cancel the project here at kickstarter and pay back your pledges. We believe this is the best way to get your trust back as first and also for Cinemware.
Some of your comments was that we should go on with smaller projects, And that is what we will do in the next time. Right now we got some really cool support from fans which help us to release an Amiga-Version of Wings! Remastered Editon and also we will release Big-Box-Collectors Editions of our classics. This idea came also from a community member who also develops AmigaCD32 ports. We start with defender of the Crown with a box that includes all the different releases. For the Amiga Version you can also download different Demo Versions.

So, next step is to get back the money to you. Please give us a little time to check this how this works from now (no, it won´t be six months). But every backer gets back their money.
We got mails and messages that offers us that we can use their pledge for other projects. We have to check this how this works but if you want to support us in this way contact sven@cinemaware.com.
So thanks again for you comments and your patience. We hope we can send out the next update with detailed information about the refund process by the end of the next week.

It´s not dead. Dead means we would not go on anymore. we will put it on hold, but to be fair we decide refund the backer. We don´t know what happens in 1 or 2 years, maybe we can pick it up again.

Hmmmm, I never received any such email stating it had been canned.
Have you finished returning every ones money? I have noticed anything being returned to me.

Very disappointed. Was looking forward to this as much as I did Wings.

I received an EMail earlier (yesterday) from Sven Vößing (Cinemaware Retro):

After a long time of development the shipping of Rocket Ranger, Wings:RE (Amiga) has been started. Also the latest orders will be shipped now. After the last weeks of development i have to finalize the Boxes for the Amiga32-Event. After this weeks and months i need bit time to recover. The next step is to move the shop and also the distribution to an external team. With many projects in the pipeline source the package and delivery to an external partner so i can concetrate complete to development. The good news is that the order and shipping process will now runs faster. Also there will be no "pre-Order" anymore. The next project needs no pre-order anymore and will be shipped after order.

On the other hand, the prices will rise. The reason is that the new shop is located in germany and because of our tax system we have to raise the prices. instead of 44.95 US Dollar it will be 45 Euro (around 53 USD).

So if you still want to order our games for the "old" price, you have your chance till monday. retro.cinemaware.com/

After monday, the link will send you to the new shop.

Thanks again for your great support and patience.

Sven

Is the game available for other systems? I tried searching info on their kickstarter, but it says in the comments that some company have bought Cinemaware (Strabreeze) and refunds have been handed out ? Its the reloaded version right, or the original just repacked ? Source: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...oaded/comments

...I actually purchased the FM-Towns version from Dream Stars Japan many, many moons ago.

Pity it's only in Japanese and not English.
