Oh great, we've lost another emulator after WinFellow. Let's hope Toni keeps updating WinUAE otherwise amiga will be truly dead :/

That is a HUGE shame. I hope Bernd gets it everything sorted soon.

I wonder if sales had anything to do with this decision

@DJay Well I'm probably wrong. But as far as I could discern Amithlon was a darn fast commercial emulator which emulated AmigaDOS on your PC by allowing you to boot up as it instead of running it as an application through windows or any other OS. Probably completely wrong.

Well, Amithlon is running through a Linux Kernel and itīs so damn fast cause it has no Custom Chip Emulation, so older games/software will not work if it refers to any custom chip operation

I bought the package when it was available some months ago It is about 500 times faster than a real A4000 with 060 CPU

But for retro-gaming itīs not recommended cause of the missing custom chip support, but if you want an up-to-date amiga, try getting it at EBay, itīs worth it if you want to use newer Amiga Games/Software like PAYBACK or FEEBLE FILES

I would actually like to see how Payback looked. Feeble files was converted to the PC as well as far as I know.

My turn to come out from under a rock.....
Last I'd read, they'd said it'd be a while before an update would be done,(For Winfellow) have they now officially given up?

It can't be, as RCK would not still host the web site.

E-mail Worfje to find out.

personaly I think this says it all:

Quote:
I have almost two years of my time invested in Amithlon/Berniethlon, and a lot of it was fun. However, the last nine months have been a complete nightmare. I have been lied to, lied about, threatened, libelled and abused, and have had my IP rights violated. Worse yet, the self-styled "Founder and Developer of Amithlon" as well as the former distributor have apparently also taken it upon themselves to threaten and intimidate anyone who so much as considers cooperating with me --- be that Amiga dealers, the P96 team, Chris Hodges, or the provider for www.amithlon.net.
cut & paste from the site - bold is mine

To the people responsible I'd like to vote a big EAB wup-ass kicking.

This sounds to me like some greedy jerks decided that they needed a bigger piece of the pie, i.e., the whole damn thing
