will collision detection ever work with Deluxe Galaga?

what are these options for?

Misc chipset options

.Fast Copper
.Immediate Blitter
.Cycle exact CPU & Blitter

what machines had what?

Full collision settings work for DGalaga, but I think that sometimes powerups act like enemy shots (you die when you pick them up). I'm not completely sure, though.
(I'm using .22.R2)

I used to have those problems with Galaga (only bullets worked) until I selected the "Sprites and Sprites vs. Playfield" button on the "Chipsets" Tab of WinUAE (v08.22.r3). Now it works great!

wicked cheers for the info... what effect does this have on other game though?

Yeah, that setting (or full) is what makes the latest versions great. EVERY old game I've tried has worked so far. I'm talking about games I couldn't even run on my old 1.3 based A500. I can now play Archon in WinUAE for instance (older versions of WinUAE would have bullets passing right through the obstacles in the battle part of the game). Other games like Battle Squadron also seem to work fine now (used to get "invisible bullets" that would kill you there, although that might have had a different cause).
