Anyway to make the play area larger on real hardware? It's tiny! Reminds me of Toki in that sense.

The graphics for Toki and Liquid Kids were drawn by the same two brothers, Phillippe and Lionel Dessoly, so that might explain it.

I already found it on the Amiga Future site as well. Are there different versions of the game around?

I played this last night and got a score of about 17K or so. Can't transfer the image to my laptop for now though unfortunately. It's a decent game but the small playing area makes it feel a little claustrophobic.

Hopefully there will be more activity soon...

Wow, where is everyone? Count me in. I might upload some scores at the weekend depending on how well I do.

Managed to get my score across in the end (turning on my phone helped, I found...). Not a great start but at least it is a start.

I got about 48k but there's a bonus section early on you can do again and again forever. I did it without realising so I wont post the score.

Installed and had a quick go.. got squashed by a giant bunny wearing sad pants.
Right at the start you can go left to pick up 3 lives, but the jump is really tough so probably not worth it..
Also I think the little 'magic room' doors that you enter will warp you to the next world on completion? At least that's the impression I got since I apparently made it to 3-2 after playing it for about 3 minutes

Is the jump even possible? I know you can get there but it doesn't seem possible to jump back, like a level design/conversion error.

I posted a few notes on the Lemon thread and my usual tips, which includes some of the things you've been talking about. Namely, the infinite loop scenario (I recommend just loop once) and the bug by going left from the start. I tried hard to get out of that pit but I could not do it so I assumed it was impossible and a bug.

Lost all my lives trying to ascend the tower with the moving platforms somewhere in stage 2. That bit is *really* tricky.

I was considering not posing tips anymore as I find it has the effect of making the casual players uncomfortable; like they must 'enter' the compo and live up to some kind of challenge. As you see, no amout of tips is saving the LemonAmiga or LemonC64 games compo at the moment, and you'll notice its after MY input. The numbers on the L64 compo have always been very healthy but now sinse I enter this year they crash. Tips just dont make games fun, not like finding out for yourself. Thats why I at least tried to blank them.

Posting tips also makes me sound like an ego maniac, and I am the opposite.

The best thing you guys can do is play the game, as even this game was inspired by a snap decition of mine to make a play for it this month, and some of you guys supported it, so thank you for having a go. Hopefully normal service will be resumed soon so I can stop feeling a bad about it.

edit: stop press, I managed to invite a girl over from the hardware forums, so that's two of us now on Lemon.

No way will I accept that dwindling numbers has anything at all to do with your input lifeschool... Please dont point the finger at yourself
I think it's just something beyond anyone's control.

I notice the "Commodore Amiga" page on facebook is full of people just getting back into amiga, playing games etc. How many of you are on that page? I know Graham is
Could be worth a shout-out to recruit some fresh meat players
