RGB Overlay on Amiga Forever uses WinUAE engine

Hi everyone,

I was pondering, Amiga Forever emulation can display the Amiga screen on a window with a RGB overlay, so I am thinking why WinUAE cant use this feature too, that is, why it dont have a "overlay" checkbox, since Amiga Forever enables it, and Amiga Forever uses the WinUAE executable as its engine?

Pst, pst: I am thinking that checkbox would look very neat on WinUAE! I would like to use it, too.

May the force be with you... Cheers!

It does not exist, not in WinUAE, not in Windows. Overlay has been obsoleted years ago, no display card supports it in hardware anymore. It got replaced with shader stuff.

EDIT: It is probably historic remains from era when it did exist.

Ohh I am worrified! I think its a very interesting feature.

I needed to say for you, my computer can display 32 bit WinUAE screens normally, but I would like to use it only because of the internal workings of overlays (that I dont know really, I only imagine how they work). I remember using it on my old PII 266 MHz, and I was truly amazed. Reminds me of that old Amiga "Genlocks" or that VHS Camcorder "superimposers" (yuk!). I think you understand.

Thanks, Toni.
