RCS and HardDrive as Directory

I have a problem with RCS and WinUAE Hardrive as Directory. When I'm trying to check next version of file then RCS give me following message.

RCS file is the same as working file tes.s.

But of course file is differ.

Initial file tes.s is very simply

Code:
;$Id$
start: nop
Then I'm doing ci tes.s and of course I have directory RCS. Then I'm doing co -l RCS/tes.s. After that I'm edited tes.s (just added few nops and rts ). And when I'm trying to check in ( ci tes.s) then I have above message. It's strange a bit because when I attached Hardfile or my HardDrive then rcs works nice.
RCS its taken from aminet (http://aminet.net/package/dev/misc/HWGRCSp20f

Perhaps some options should be enables in CD & Hard drives Options (now I have checked off all options.

Any ideas ?

why do you
Code:
 co -l RCS/tes.s
it should be
Code:
 co -l tes.s
you can also
Code:
 ci -l tes.s
to leave the file for editing after check in

Its a habit. I use RCS/file because I use KINGCON to complement file name

the rcs files are set to read-only, maybe the source for the problems?

Nope, I checked that (remove read-only from file in the RCS drawer) and I have still message about same file, ehh.

Because I wouldn't care less about RCS, I need complete test case: zip archive that can be unpacked and booted as a harddrive that contains rcs executable (and other required stuff but no WB stuff as usual) and test files + test case command lines.

In the Zone (testRCS.zip). Everything is shown in startup-sequence. Just boot as a hardrive (kick3.1).

Thanks.

It uses bad assumption by comparing fileinfoblock fib_DiskKey fields, if they are equal, program assumes both locks point to same file. (Error means both source and dest is same file, it does not check contents at this point)

"It does not uniquely identify a filesystem object; it may even be undefined! To be used with care, if at all!" says gurubook.

It works with some filesystem, it most likely does not work reliably (for example) with network filesystems.

This can't be fixed or worked around quickly or easily because directory filesystem uses this field for internal exnext bookkeeping. (It is not file/dir unique value)

Thank you for checking. I will switch to another rcs (rcs 5.6) which works fine, after few tests.
