Not completely yet. Read some previous posts and links. It works only if you use CyberbugFix (AmiKit Real or CWB39). The only problem is that the icon images on the MUI preferences have graphic corruption.

Everybody interested should check out the latest nightly builds of MUI3.9.
CGX is no longer required, graphics corruption has been fixed for all screenmodes, hopefully.
There are a few other known issues, hopefully some will get addressed soon too.
But the biggest disappointment will be the new colour setting requester, it is working now, but on AGA or low colour screens and on real even 68060 cpu it is unusable slow.

What is the target of 3.9? Especially 68k (e.g. 030) speed compared to 3.8 on AGA of course.

The current target is AmiKIT type environment ;-(
TrueColour GFX and ultra fast CPU/mem bus.
I have managed to persuade the developers to keep the compatibility to the classic,
but performance wise we have a problem with the colour requester, it requires enormous resources.
The main MUI backbone is roughly as fast as it was, just 020 optimized and more stable/bug fixed.
Any reports are welcomed while development is hot, so that things can be addressed before release and we would not need to complain why it's not working or something is wrong.

So it's only the colour setting requester that's slow?

Yes, it's too complicated and refreshes in real time when you touch any controls. Otherwise it might be even faster then the old MUI since there were some optimizations. over the last ten years. eg. The external classes are loaded only on demand now.

So, if it is equal or higher speed except the color settings then its ok and maybe worth to test. The external classes load on demand is a good news.

I don't think nobody will like to use/try it with a lower speed. I won't test it until an improvement happens.

New beta released.
http://muidev.de/

By the way I managed to run it after installing Cybergraphx AGA and it is running for a long time now. However there is one problem.

When I choose "Windows" from the left tab inside MUI prefs, I get a screen flash (the one that happens when an error happens) and the I get the following message inside MUI window where the Windows options should appear: Failed to create preferences class".

MUI3.9r2
I confirm the same. No class Window. "Failed to create preferences class"
How do I fix this?

I can confirm this on my system. It's unusable at the moment.

Same error occurs if you switch over to extern and pick "Term" or "TextInput".
I think preferences for those 3 aren't finished yet.

Strange sense of humor, explanation says it could be localized to german as well, see picture below.

As i understood this: https://muidev.de/wiki/TracTickets you need some extra permissions.

Quote:
However, some Trac installations may put restrictions in place about who can change what. For example, the default installation doesn't permit to non-authenticated users ("anonymous" users) to change anything, even to comment on an issue, for obvious spam prevention reasons. Check the local contributing policy, which you can usually find on the front page WikiStart, or contact your local Trac administrator.

I don't know how to contact them. tboeckel there said "So far ancalimon has not provided any further information to solve this issue, not even if things still worked in previous versions." And I can't help them because I have no permission to reply. It sucks

I reg'd MUI last July @ SASG. I got an email message saying his Amiga dev machine was down, and to use some one else's key (supposed to be attached). Windows must have borked the attachment or something. Can you guys (MUI) look in to this and send me a new key? (jeff at newsguy dot com) I did try sending a second email but no response yet.

Thank you,
-Jeff
