works fine using DD and HD disks writing them with kryoflux. (didn't like escom A1200 drive). Also worked fine in Latest Winuae using a1200 default setup and 4mb ram. (increasing floppy speed didn't improve loading time)

for loading in Winuae, System 3 logo comes up at track 22 and main menu at track 63 for those wanting to know if their setup is good or not

Actually setting floppy speed to 800% does speed it up, but turbo does not.

This whole thread is surreal, I can't wipe this smirk off of my face

For the first time in years I have a funny feeling... like a child in front of a unexpected surprise under the Christmas tree.

I'm at a loss for words, I can just queue my big "thank you" to the above list and acknowledge the work of love (and clever marketing move) done by System3 and EAB's resident coders.

DNF has been dethroned as king of vaporwares (that eventually see the light of the shelf) :-)

I bet they are 20year old disks. On the package it says it's compatible with IBM PS/2, MAC SE, APPLE IIGS, and for some reason no Amiga or Atari ST, hmm I wonder why?? Forgotten already?? Not by us!

Bought them in white cardboard boxes of 50 from a Computer Fair so nothing printed on them. Think it was Central Fairs or some other organiser that put these Computer Fairs on, remember buying hundreds of disks at a time

Great work guys, especially Galahad and System3 for making that release possible .
To be honest, I didn't believe that this game will ever get released. Indeed a nice christmas present for the Amiga community .

First of all congrats and a thank you to System 3, Galahad and co. for the release of this fantastic game.

I have just contacted System3 through there website and thanked them as well.

Mrs Beanbag! I converted the adf to a hfe for my hxc floppy emulator, and mine works fine so not sure why yours doesn't.

I also just took a quick pic of it playing on my A1200 through the hxc, sorry for the low quality as i only had my mobile phone handy!

Again thanks to everyone involved

Three great EAB threads on Putty Squad. A little tiring tracking them all, any chance of a moderator merge?

I have closed one thread, and redirected here. This is the one for general discussion.

The other needs to be about the technical details etc and won't be merged. Although I will move it from the NEWS section.
to a more relevant area!

Who would think that less than 2MB of data could make so many people happy?

Hmm. I just updated the firmware on the HxC but it still doesn't work, although I don't get blue and green stripes anymore just a blank screen. Weird.

Does anyone know WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENCES between this and the version we got on coverdisk years ago?

I never/cant get off the level with the flying buddhas, which I think was the last one in the demo?, so I've no idea if I've got far or not.

Cant wait to have another try.

Musics are on AMP now, as well as in the zone.
I wonder why most are stored several times in the game, though

--edit
Oh, and it misses the loader music. I didn't include it since it's the same as the one in Cool Spot (by Nightshade).

I don't know what is wrong with my Amiga, nothing is ever simple...

I went to install using WHDLoad using the ADFs, it gets to the bit where you put the disk in, I click on "Select File" and nothing happens

I must be missing something important like a file selector or something.

Aha! Thank you! It works now.

Strange that I still can't get it to work on the HxC though.

Mrs Beanbag - Not sure if you're as inexperienced as I am with "manually" running a WHDLoad install but, from within WinUAE, I solved the problem you are describing by selecting the ADF files (1 at at time in DF0, 2nd one when prompted) under the Floppy Drives section. I now have this up and running, or so it seems!

Doh! Took me too long to type my post but glad it's working for you now.
