It does seem to have a soul doesn't it.

I love the fact that even after all these years people still love to chat about it.

yes, the amiga have a soul, it's the only explication.
Like games you know when games were done for money and when games were done with care.
infact for me video games became an art with the amiga.
Amiga is the first which give me arts in games.

Amiga has got more than a soul, she's like a friend, like a girlfriend, you can speak with her. Try to do the same with a PC, a smartphone, a tablet, and so on. Bleah................

Obviously in a metaphorical sense

Indeed, when translated from Spanish -> Amiga = female friend

It looks you're not only one who think so (just found one nice article):

WinUAE killed my Amiga

The title, in a figurative sense, then could also mean -> WinUAE (he) killed my Amiga (she)!

So, maybe you're both right, as now it is more close to be called an Amigo than Amiga... ...but still with her soul present in there.
Maybe we got our Amigo a little confused ... he is now probably not quite sure what he really is.
But anyway, he or she, who cares ... today is possible you can be what ever you want, right!
And that is how WinUAE behave ... it can be whatever you wish to be... A1000 - A4000 and much more ...

p.s. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the existence of this great emulator, though most of the merit goes today to Toni.
