EasyNet Tutorial: Configuring Prism2v2 Wireless Settings

The EasyNet documentation has been updated for the new version release.

The new tutorial documents the new wireless scanning feature and connecting to a network with the latest prism2v2 network device.

First of all thanks for publishing that tutorial.
I bought my CD few months ago it's lacking those features. I cannot connect my Amiga with that old CD. How do I upgrade?

Sorry. I just found upgrade floppy on your website. Is that will upgrade my EasyNet to the latest version with wireless scanning?

Update arrived,
Can I ask why you use HD floppies (instead of DD) which my Amiga 600 can't read.

I'd guess because it is almost impossible to acquire new DD floppies..
That being said, I've used HD floppies formatted in my Amiga as 880k Amiga floppies with no problems....

I thought the only real problem was if the Amiga had a HD floppy drive in it?
(As the drive would sense the floppy is HD. In that case, you''d have to cover the HD hole on the HD floppy disk to get it to work as DD)

Maybe just a random bad disk?

Hi!

On other subject, I've read on quite a few forums that certain PCMCIA models of networking cards should need to have their firmware updated in order to support WPA encryption.

The cards I use in both my A1200 and A600 are "NETGEAR 16-bit PCMCIA Model MA401", which I bought from amigakit a few years ago when I first got Easynet. Should they need to be reflashed if I wanted to use WPA? Are current wireless PCMCIA cards on sale at Amigakit WPA compatible?

This is just out of curiosity. For my current classic Amiga needs WPE or even no encryption at all are doing fine, and reflashing PCMCIA stuff seems to be a non trivial matter which I would rather stay away from. I just wanted to know!

From what I've read the MA401 will need flashing to support WPA, read this: http://bytemyvdu.wordpress.com/2012/...ivers-wpawpa2/

Hi,

My card detects on boot an available update but when I choose to download the files I get an error after two minutes.
I can surf just fine, only the update doesn't work

Thanks.
