A bouquet for EAB and fitzsteve in particular

I have been sort of out of the Amiga scene for many years although I have been using my A1200 all along for programming/sequencing backing tracks for my self and other musicians.

I recently decided it was time to sell the Amiga as I do everything else including audio recording on a PC (blush)

The level of kindness, advice and help I have been shown on here reminded me what a cool bunch us Amigas are!
So a big thanks to any of you that have helped me or made me feel welcome.

P.S. I now have a working CF card as my DH0: etc., and am waiting for another card to arrive so Ican trnsfer all the music files off my IDE drive onto the new setup.
Even got my old 1940 out of the loft and been playing a couple of gmes.

Once again, THANKS

(even if I still havent installed the wb3.9 I bought several years go!)

It's funny but Amiga people are cool aren't they? Plus, they are all just so nice! I think we are all on a higher intellectual level, that's the secret :-)

Please note that there are exceptions to every rule... over priced ebay dealers... and you know who you are...!

It's "funny". When I predominantly use places that are "NG" focused I find the amiga userbase to be rude/irrational, and lacking in the knowledge they pat themselves on the back for. Despite having an interest in these systems I inevitably become frustrated and wonder why I stick around because of the people involved.

Using places that are more "classic" focused however is a different kettle of fish. Places like eab and lemon amiga are usually a joy to use and it's people friendly and helpful.
Strangely however, despite the stark contrast there's a not small amout of people involved in both.

Seems the amiga landscape is an exception to the old adage that competition brings out the best in people

I feel the same. Everyone has been so nice here, (especially Thomas). I have had many Amiga's, but it's been a LONG time since I've owned one. Now I have 2 B-2000's, and am learning/re-learning with the help from all of the kind people here.
