Maldita Castilla: Inspired by Ghosts 'N Goblins

I haven't tried it yet, but it looks very good and it's freeware.

Video and more info at: Maldita Castilla

I definitely love the work of these guys!

Only with a team of 2 people they managed to create almost a dozen of "vintage" titles that capture the very essence of our beloved 8/16/32bits machines.

My 3 favorites are "Hydorah" (a shootemup in the "MSX2" style), "L'Abbaye des Morts" (an adventure game that truly looks like a Spectrum game) and of course "Maldita Castilla".

If you guys have a moment, I definitely suggest to pay a visit to their website (locomalito.com) ... There are tons of info on their work.

Thanks alkis21 for sharing this in the first place.

Great game. Helps once you learn the paths the enemy takes. All trial and error. Certainly reminscent of Ghosts and Goblins and I used to love that game.

I'm playing this and Curse of Issyos. A bit hard, but really good games.
