Some very good work.

As a minor criticism I would say they all seem to be very samey. Every one seems to be in the same format with generic background wallpaper, a vehicle and games characters on the right.

A bit more creativity (as someone suggested the Rampage monsters up the building, Bub and Bob bouncing off bubbles, etc.) would be epic. For example Rainbow Islands looks epic - kind of an action shot then the rest seem to be very static.

Still it's very nice and I'll no doubt snag some for backdrops

M.

Edit: Oh and are you using the same screens for different formats? That's a bit strange????

I am a professional 3d artist so anything is possible.

My images started off with generic backgrounds as it was more about the sprites. Now i'm upping the anti & getting stuck into what these games meant to me when i was a kid, making them more personal.

I know what you mean about the platforms, doing all the platforms of every game is maybe something for the future. I keep on meaning to do more c64 & zx spectrum games, which I will get round to..

For Halloween i have come re-done Splatterhouse. This not only was a great game but i think it about summed up what halloween should be like.

I was also a great excuse to test out my new 3d volumetric light setup. Now my sprites can not only be dynamically lit by their surroundings but i can also add misty light effects.

I'm not sure which of these to go for so i'm going to put it to the vote, A,B or C?

I had a new idea i thought i'd test out here. Taking a shot from a film, clean it up & then replace the characters with the retro game versions of themselves..

It's first first use of the camera calibration tool, had it for ages but never used it, great little tool.. It made it much quicker to knock up the set.

the original plate..

I know i haven't posted any of my artwork for a while, but i thought i'd return with a big one, the most famous of plumbers no less..

Different though as i'm testing out a whole new style here too. As such i'd love to hear what you think?

With regards to Splatterhouse, I liked C the best. Had the best sense of depth and perspective.

Love the Street Fighter 2 wallpaper, by the way.

Of the latest ones, I really like the Mario and Sonic ones - they are the home and lock screen respectively on my iPad.
Not so keen on the latest Castlevania one if I'm honest, but not really sure why. Sorry that's not very constructive!

Cheers,
Simon.

Castlevania is your best for me . I don't like anything of your posts 43 or 48.

Anyway I don't like much your wallpapers, hope you don't mind I'm honest. Castlevania is fine for me as I say.

Your honesty is great. I am trying out many different styles and understand much of what i do won't be to everyones taste. All feedback is welcome.

An a new piece of work is unleashed on my site. Just going for classics here, what do you think?

It has been a while. So i'd love to hear what you think..

I have come back to this game as i thought it deserved it. I haven't made so many C64 wallpapers & Barbarian (or Death Sword) is so iconic.

I'm back in the mood for real pixels & i'm going big. There are a couple of other games that fit in with this arena backdrop as well so i might try them too..
