I got to start downloading it first thing this morning...

...right before I left for work...



I played a little carrier command on dosbox on the pandora in bed last night... I would have played the amiga version... but no time warp mode.

Great stuff cheers, I rarely get hyped for a game these days as much as I am now

It can be quite time consuming, taking islands.
You have to plan and the ai features are cool, you can tell your waruses to attack stuff and get other waruses to assist each othe, same with mantas.

Its as challenging as original, where you have to monitor lots of stuff, like fuel, weapons, repair etc etc.

The only downside i can see is ai assist. Sometimes the ai gets stuck banging in to objects.

The AI is stupid.

If you want something done you usually have to do it yourself...

Frustratingly fun, It is what I wanted it to be. An updated Carrier Command. So glad they didnt make some weird squad based fps.

Aye, the amount of times I have had to take control drive around the object then execute command is crazy, .

What the game really needs is a "hold position" command.

Stay right there... dont move... I need to do something else but I want you to be right there when I get back.

There is suspend and use defend, it should only then move once it gets attacked.

I think that AI path finding issue could be a real issue for some that want to play purely from a bird's eye view but the monitoring aspect is what I enjoy most and I envisioned jumping in and out. Sounds like it could still be frustrating if you truly don't manage your time correctly monitoring this stuff but fine if you do

The original CC could equally be a pain of course if you badly multitasked so this shouldn't be a problem I would guess
