Looking forward to seeing your something, Predseda

I checked out the Asgard Met Vikings. Really nicely presented game. The cracktro is a really great touch.

After a little break, I've made a start on my new game, "Carpet Capers"

Once spud pointed it out, I took the time to look at it. I did get a nice chuckle that you put in a cracktro in your own freeware game.

I was very impressed with the graphics in your game. I have found myself playing it quite a few times.

Since you do not receive any income, the least I can do is let you know that someone is playing your game.

I know most do it for hobby, however I'm wondering whether you clever people would consider putting heads together for a kickstarter project and new game? It will at least serve to support you all on financial level as well as something for us non programmers to support and look forward to.

Yes, Met/Vikings very simplistic though. But very nice to look at

Maybe they will expand on it, but the game idea is simple enough that I don't even download and install it. Maybe it sounds offensive but it's true. Could be a quickie party game I guess, and I think that's the only goal they had.

I'd love to code a crowdfunded game, and they'd fund it based on the quality of the game concept, so you'd need some good looking mockups up beforehand. Crowdfunding is serious tho, so the most important thing is getting a small gang of the right people, who will have enough time and dedication to deliver. I'd quit my day job in a jiffy to code an Amiga game, but the problem is the same as outside crowdfunding: having a buffer that will cover Life(tm) during development.

amigarecordedgames or some similar site have few flash games based on Amiga titles. I think it should be easy to 'convert' Asgard Met Vikings to flash.

I've always wanted to write a cracktro, so we came up with the idea to provide one with the game just for fun.

I wasn't involved, but I'll forward your feedback to the guys who actually did the game.

Btw, there's a bugfix release of the game on its website: http://www.punktart.de/met/index.php/index.en

Scart,

I did not realize you were not involved with the game. Thanks for sending my feedback along and the notice about the new version.

Agreed. As I understand it, you need to put a video together for Kickstarter projects too - so they can weed out the scammers from the people trying to start real projects.

That is all true. Plus there would be a deadline for getting the game done, whereas doing it for free we can take all the time we need with no real pressure (I know my game is behind my original schedule, but I will get there in the end ).
