Highscore? As you like. I suposse you'll put the highest score to someone called Gibs...

BTW I've found this rare movie searching for Scramble (it appears at the beginning). It seems I have to watch it Pure 80`s: [ Show youtube player ]

It seems that Aminet doesn't want AmigaParachute.
I don't know why, I didn't had any explanation
Maybe because it is originally a Nintendo game (but there are already some game & watch on Aminet) ?

Maybe I can post it here ?

Your FTP client tried to set file permissions for the file you uploaded, that does all sorts of not so funny things with our scripts (it's our fault, but since we're moving from this crappy server soon...).

I'll fix it in a few minutes and moderate the upload.

Ah ok, that is the reason

This is weird because I have upload the 3 files (TinyLauncher, ABS & AmigaParachute) in one shot...

Edit: It is here > http://aminet.net/package/game/misc/AmigaParachute

Hi Gibs, nice game, I love it.

But I would like to suggest to you a "Workbench" version with a window because games with multitasking are hard to find and Workbench could handle exceptionally well a game like this. Its incredible that dont exists any, because its perfect for Workbench...

I would love to see a multitude of hand-held games like this for Workbench from you, like MADrigal does for Windoze.

It doesn't work here (OS3.9+BB4), it starts the intro then quits to Workbench with "Illegal function call".

@amiman99
You mean a 320x200 version ?

@Leandro
I guess it's impossible with AmosPro

@Minuous
And from the early-startup ?

Amos programs do multitask, you only have to press left Amiga-A to flip to the Workbench screen, but of course it's not the same as having the game in a small window.

No prob here with OS3.9 + BB4...

Check your startup-sequence / WBStartup for patch

It's really a fantastic conversion

BTW so, finally you didn't put a clock. Doesn't matter though.

@All

Should I do this ?
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/1566495/Par.../ShouldIdo.mp4

BTW on the Parachute selection screen, nobody has pressed "I" or "C" for Credits/Information ?

Yeah, I know, I actually made that :-)

I will try with no startup-sequence tonight, I'm not sure though (a) why the game should require that, especially for a simplistic game like this, and (b) why it can't give a meaningful error message (eg. which function actually failed).

I don't think it's because it's simplistic that it should run on every Amiga It's an ECS game you know...Lot of games have been patched to work on Amiga 1200... Even some Amos games (Check Stingray posts). So, I'm sure it should run perfectly from the early-startup. Then maybe you need a clean startup-sequence (check AmigaBootSelector).

It only requires mathtrans.library to start. If it can't find the library then it will print a malformed error message, but that's an error in AmosPro itself.

@THB:

Are you getting the same error I am ("illegal function call") or some other error?

@Leffmann:

It's opening mathtrans.library without problems, the error occurs afterwards.
