I just want to make sure you know I'm interested in this too, and I'd love to get the opportunity to beta test firmwares and such

I hope this project makes it to completion as its one of the most interesting expansion I have seen in a while. Full marks for making it an internal solution.

What boards are available today?

What are the prices?

I have only seen a few advertised and some have a stupid price tag, were taking 350, at those prices its cheaper to buy a PC, Amiga Forever and emulate. Don't these manufacturers ever consider this fact when producing accelerators?

Well, I hope they do not consider a comparison with emulation. With a certain rational view, none of these retrocomputing hobbies make sense. I just hope they continue to do stupid things that I might even buy one day .

Cheers,
McT

Don't "these users" ever consider how expensive it is to produce even a simplest device in quantities below 10000? Try to sell even 100 cards on today's retro market. You'll see.

At the price of some classic cars, it's also cheaper to buy a new one. Surprised it has to be said.

Also, the "manufacturer" in this case is a few brilliant folks taking time from real life to work on something that will probably yield humble profits. This holiday season, let's remember our manners and cut them a little slack.

Does the Vampire board make this card somewhat irrelevant?

Only if you own an A600, for the rest of us it's still worth waiting for.

Its looking likely that the Vampire will hit most Amiga models, with the A500/2000 version expected next. I can't see the point of pushing on with this card, or I'm I missing something?

The Vampire will kill most accelerator cards (and secondhand accelerator market) once it is available for most models. (And the rtg/memory/etc add-ons too!) Which isn't a bad thing considering the crazy prices for some today (price vs performance) or the failed projects of the past years, this card being another sad example.
Vampire (and kipper2k stuff!) proves it can be done cheap and good if you take the right architecture decisions at the start, egg on face for all the other hardware devs still around claiming they can't go cheaper.

I do think that this card also is using a FPGA as the Vampire does. With that said. Updates to the core is a key factor for success. This is a awesome board that could give some nice features to my A500. And the price is actually not that bad compared to other boards that will give you half the feature and speed.
