I'm not sure flying Farscape Delvian women are going to do it for me.

TorbenLarsen, is the blue Lawnmower Lady flying? Or will she be bestowed a walking animation?

Good luck with the project.

All you have to do now is make a game like this in the Battle Squadron universe to truly kill the franchise
Craaaazy laugth here watching the video .

Yes instinctively i would prefer a ship instead an avatar, but why not after all, aviator was designed with this.
I am very curious to discover the game, and well it makes me dream about an amiga version too why not .

@TorbenLarsen

How come this never came out for Amiga in 1989 or 1990? I'm looking forward to buying Hybris & BS 2 for iOS when they are released. I bought Hybris & Battle Squadron for the Amiga way back when. I also bought Battle Squadron for iPad a few months ago, great remake.

So this is a sequel because it has similar-looking explosions? Seriously??

Anyway, this looks god-awful, nothinggto do with the polished and beautiful graphics of the original, not in quality nor in theme. I wouldn't label this as "Battle Squadron 2" but then again what you are doing is cashing in on nostalgia and name recognition. Bit sad.

Aviators looked bad enough already.

A game is usually a bit more than one image from production

I too have a really good laugh of the postings here. If one can't take the pros and cons it wouldn't make much sense in striving for good games

Yet another shooter, you can find many similar (and free) on plnehry.idnes.cz Maybe not bad but also nothing special. I tried to reduce colors and resolution but still nothing

Maybe you should try making a new game unattached to any nostalgia cash-in if we're gonna talk about "striving for good games".

You don't actually think this game will be released for the Amiga? Let alone classic ones...

Nah no way, we have great people involved in the Amiga, like you.
I'm not a nostalgic person an I have a particular aversion to people cashing in on nostalgia, but there's obviously a market for it, a load of people with rose-tinted glasses. Unfortunately there isn't for real classic games on real classic platforms. For money-making reasons, games like Putty Squad get shelved forever.

I'll play Mr. Beanbag any day before any of this

Well in fact after Mr Beanbag is finally behind me, my next trick may well be a shoot-em-up, so...

I think I might go and draw a spaceship now.
