Vesalia.de swamped?

2012-02-15 i bought the new ACA1231 from Vesalia. A couple of days later when i got my card i noticed that it had problem booting with my hard drive.

After reading and asking some questions Vesalia told me that i could send my card back to them to get the BootFix done on my card. And on March the 1st, i did send my ACA1231 back to Vesalia.

I did send a email to them 2012-03-21 just to make sure that my card had arrived and to get some sort of status. The answer was "We expect to send it back to you next week". This is the last time i ever heard from them.

I have been sending about 5 emails to both the support and info addresses to get some answers. But they are just ignoring me. All i wanted was a status report on the progress. If they had told me "Sorry mate, but this will take another 2 month to fix" everything would have been fine.

I have not received any answers at all.

62 days and counting!

Have you both tried sending the emails with another mail address? Perhaps they are receiving them as spam... That's the only thing I can imagine, although it's true that they use to take some days for answering.

I have always found Vesalia nice people to do business with and great communicators.

Let's hope your problems are temporary, and caused only by the recent releases of new Amiga hardware and consequently the increased volume of business they've been doing lately.

No offense, but that doesn't explain no reply for over a month. A lost shipment shouldn't be too hard to track. Of course I also hope that this gets sorted ASAP

Vesalia.de swamped or scammed?

Greetings.

Ordered a few things from vesalia.de on the 2nd of may, including an Indvision AGA Mk2 for A1200. I have yet to receive anything although I have already payed for it.

A few days later, I also ordered a Keyrah from them which have arrived fine.

2 emails have been send with an inquiry on how it goes with the order. I would accept a "Sorry, we are currently swamped with AGA Mk2 orders" or something but I have heard nothing back.

Apparently they had time to package my Keyrah, so why no time to answer two emails?

Thinking of disputing the payment now. Anyone have any news regarding them?

Weird thing is that the two different orders seems to have gotten the same tracking number..

The two orders confirmation emails I've received both have the same number, so if I look at the "You can check the order status online:" link, they both go to the same place where it says "shipped" and the identical "Tracking number". That package, as I said, only contained the second order, the Keyrah.

You emailed to their info@ address? Vesalia don't scam people. If nothing happens then try to phone them, or send a fax.

Yes. Also tried order@. I'll give them a 3rd mail, mark it high and hope they respond. My hope is that they got the order mixed up and think they sent it already.

Thanks

Use the info address only, unless you want to change your existing order. Probably a mistake.

Wouldn't worry too much, apparently order for Indivisions has been phenomenal (someone on irc suggested thousands of orders which is amazing for old Amigas!), I have been waiting since May 1st for mine from Amigakit, the order is still just pending and hasn't been delivered yet despite stock arriving 2 weeks ago, I expect Amiga companies are just not used to so
Many orders and are working day and night !

Fantastic news for our scene though, bigger than we thought it was!

I placed 2 orders on Vesalia, one after the other. The first one got sent out after a couple of days, the second one is still pending for over 2 weeks. :/ I am waiting for the first one to arrive to check whether they sent both items in the same box before I contact them.

Guess I'm sticking to GGS-data from now on. Stupid mistake as GGS-data did not have the Invision listed as in stock as quickly as Vesalia did.

Edit: Thank you Prowler. I was very confused when I opened "my" thread title only to have 1time as the OP (whatta??) hehe.

Usually any order I have placed with Vesalia has been delivered quite quickly. One time though a shipment was either forgotten by them or went missing or something, and it was difficult to reach anyone by email at first. But I gave them a call and then everything was sorted out quickly enough. Never was clear to me what the problem with the emails was. Also waiting for an Indivision from them at the moment but my order is still quite recent, so let's see.

Update - I just received email from Vesalia regarding my order. But it was time stamped to 2006, so it had gone right to the bottom of my inbox. Might be worth checking if this has happened to you guys, I asked them to set the clock right

Wrote to vesalia, they ignored me. I will wait a bit more and if they don't ship my item, I will start a payment reversal process on paypal. It's REALLY annoying. :|

You were right =) Got my package today.

So the lesson here is that, if you have a problem with them, call. They do not read the info address.

They usually do. Emailed them often enough in the last 4-5 years. Haven't you asked them about your emails when you called them?

Veselia is one of the oldest longest standing Amiga dealers and are VERY reliable. We are lucky to have them.

I've never had a problem with Vesalia. My 1231/42 took about 2.5 weeks to arrive in Australia, which is pretty good as DHL/deutsche post can be very slow.

Blame the customs. If everything goes smooth you can receive packages from Hong Kong to Germany within 5 days (e.g. my Everdrive MD flashcart).

Eventually all of my orders got shipped out: I had to keep emailing them. They don't reply but apparently do read them... sometimes.

Anyway, it does take a long time for them to ship the items out (3+ weeks in my case), this is without counting the delivery time. It takes about 7-10 days for the items to arrive to Canada once they are shipped out, which is not bad.

3 weeks lead time is rather silly... i'm also tired of amiga users/customers making excuses for amiga companies (e.g. blame it on customs)

Amiga companies are just as accountable to serve their customers as any other exsisting company. So set the fanboyism aside and do real business please. (e.g when you have problem with a new product dont come to forums for help first contact the vendor. THats the POINT of having Dealers)

What i'm referring to is not ACTUAL customs slowness but fanboys making excused for amiga companies slow shipments.

I think anyone is entitled to have an opinion, that's why these kind of threads in forums exist. It's true that a company that repeatedly ignores emails and gives no response whatsoever for weeks, months, makes one despair if he/she already parted with the money for the purchase. I think the next step would simply to ask if anyone had problems too or steam out the frustration in the appropriate forums.

And as far as fan boys are, we are all fan boys, if not we don't even would be lurking here.

Fortunately I had no woes with Vesalia, never bought from them. Nonetheless I hope they stay in business so everyone can have another source to buy all the gadgets they need for their Amigas.

Ask viddi. He ordered the same flashcart from Tototek and it took 5 or 6 days. Sometimes it is that fast. Normal Airmail, no paid express stuff.

@Topic

It's quite pointless to mourn here. Vesalia don't read here. Use the damn phone, if nothing helps.

I don't think it's pointless.
You won't get Vesalia to respond, but you will let others who might be considering using Vesalia know what they might expect.
Then they can decide if they are OK with that, or would rather go with someone else..

A "warning thread" for a company that is 25 years in Amiga business, based on a few "bad" experiences? If you think so. This thread (especially the topic name) is more damaging to one's reputation than helpful.
