Hi kipper2k,
I'm interested by a A600 4MB memory board. I sent you a PM some days ago but didn't get any answer. So, hem, you can had me in the list for one board. Hope it's not to late (my new A600 arrived today).

Don't feel bad. On one occasion, it took something about 3 weeks for a package from Canada to arrive here. But it did arrive
So just be patient.

I'd also love one of those A600 4MB memory boards. So if I can be added to the list that would be great

Hi Kipper, did you get my PMs of 1st and 10th August? I bet you are a bit swamped but I haven't heard back from you and would like to know what's the situation with my order. Thanks.

Hi Kipper,
I've sent an e-mail for one of these boards a week ago, but I haven't heard about being put on the list yet. As Jimbob puts it, it's indeed exciting to have a 4MB board in an A600. It's hard to wait and makes me go ![]() Regards, Matthijs |

All this excitement is incredible
I feel like there are a thousand A600 users waiting for this.I'm patiently waiting for my turn to pay. If it's not a business secret or something it would be nice to know the final figure of how much of these RAM cards were sold after everyone gets theirs ![]()

On a working vacation so to speak. I did receive the A1000 CPU adapter boards so anyone who has an A1000 will now be able to use the Rev6 fastmem board with this adapter and have it fit in the A1000 without interfering with the floppy drive cable. I'll paste what i wrote on Amibay...
----------------------- I received the A1000 adapter parts to allow the (REV 6) A500 fastmem board to fit in an A1000 without interfering with the floppy drive. Below are some pics. Price is a little higher than i forecast so they will be $9.00. The board has a narrow left hand edge so it should be good for a IDE68k board to sit underneath and stll be accessible, but not sure The board can be mounted a few different ways so there is some options as to how it sits. This may help other models/versions etc ![]() and heres a pic with the Rev6 board attached, yup, i know its missing a cap ... ![]() I have a problem with the Rev5 A500 boards, i missed a few signal lines and only way it will work is by running wires which looks really ugly so i won't sell them. Now, on the plus side, i have submitted another adapter board for the Rev6 board to sit inside all the A500 Amigas and also allow the IDE68K to co-exist. (I still haven't had confirmation as to whether they wil get along). They will be here hopefully next wed so i will get that sorted when they get here.. edit. i am trying to find flush mount pins that will reduce heights between boards when mounted (Similar to what the IDE68K boards use. If anyone can point to a part number or other info please let me know thanks

How are people dealing with the obscuring of the HD mounting on A600? I can't use mine because it won't fit with the regular HD bracket or any of my CF adapters... They take the same space inside the machine.

there are CF adapters that will fit with the a600. I have 2 different CF adapters thast will fit with the board and also MKL i believe makes them. Also a short ide cable will allow the CF adapters to be fitted somewhere in there as well

Yup, I am aware of your many adapters
I check your site often. But for this A600 setup I can't see anything being different really. Floppy cable is "a bit" longer than necessary, but folded as it is makes a nice cushion for the drive. And I prefer the CF adapter on a short cable. Makes things a bit more flexible. BUT ! Your Indy adapter for A603 is a must have. I really did not want to take the floppy out, and it made my wish come true ![]() Indy cable is just long enough for it to peak out the RF hole. In A600. Don't know how it would look like in A500(+). I may need a longer cable for that in the future. Well... we'll see how I'll fare on one A500+ auction and then take it from there ![]() Now... about games ![]() It is obviously more comfortable to launch them from WB without thinking about every single byte, and background programs. Also RAD installations are a breeze now. 3 seconds to write an ADF image to RAD and a super fast install makes 10+ disk games installations kinda fun ![]() Also, a curiosity... Leisure Suit Larry 1 (the remake version) would not run on 2MB chip. Now it runs with fast RAM installed Whale's voyage still crashes though, can't figure out what's the deal with that.
