Version 2.4.0 works like a charm on most newer systems.

Maybe your PC is really really old?

This is fast enough. Use the quickstart feature (F12, quickstart Tab). Very old saved .uae configs doesn't worked properly anymore with newer WinUAE versions.

Maybe too old graphic card drivers? Have you tried D3D and DirectDraw, and the low latency Vsync vs the Legacy Vsync in the newer versions?

Not very useful answers. Usually the point is to find the problem, not trying all kinds of random things until something happens..

Do you have this installed: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/895980 This is practically guaranteed to be a problem with XP and many dual/quad AMD CPUs.

Enable on screen leds (misc panel).
Check CPU% snd SND% leds. Does CPU% stay constantly over 100% and how much or does it jump around?
Disable sound: does it still do the same?

Also 2.4.0 has slowdown problem if software filters are enabled.

You sure you have same s:whdload.prefs (preload not enabled?) and/or memory setup? Whdload HD access always needs to pause the game (also blanks the screen) because game and OS can't be running at the same time.

But with old version of winuae all games work perfectly without any change.

Attach your existing configuration and I'll check if the problem is configuration or something else.

I can see anything obviously wrong.

Do you get same problem in windowed mode? Does switching triple buffer to double buffer (display panel) fix the problem?
EDIT: try also switching from directdraw to direct3d (misc panel)

Some small issues:

Your memory config is a bit too complex, there is no need to have slow ram or z2 fast when using whdload. Chip + Z3 fast is fine.

You also have AGA configuration but non-AGA ROM which could cause strange side-effects (but probably nothing to do with this problem)

I tried all possible solution but nothing, repeat, with winuae 1,5 works all perfectly. I don't know.......

Could you describe what exactly happens during slowdown? Does CPU% and SND% jump when it happens or do they stay stable?

Attach also logs (winuaelog.txt, tick logging enable check box in misc panel). from last working version and from latest 1.4.1 beta, thanks.

Answer post #22.

Sound emulation rarely (if ever) has anything to do with sound problems. Sound will be the first you notice if something slows down the emulation, it is same with all emulators. (No sound data created fast enough) One display frame being shown longer than normally can be very difficult to notice.

Really, maxken75, the more information you can provide the better Toni can diagnose your problem.

Attach same log from version that does not have the slowdown.
Unfortunately I don't see anything obviously wrong.

Include your PC specs. Perhaps it is just a bit too low for later versions.

Try also without JIT. JIT and WHDLoad does not always work as expected.

Looks fine.. Still nothing obvious.. (As I said, sound getting bad rarely means problem is in sound emulation)

Include winuaebootlog.txt (use latest beta).
