got my a new new a2000
fried the last one with stupidity remember
now im probably gonna bug you with lots of stupid questions


like what sort of hard disks could i expect my a2091 i mentioned somewhere in the dark ages to accept

and also a different metter id like to know
is it true that i hear that genlock kills macrovision ?
(only a thought)

I doubt if the genlock does this. When I ran a video production facility, one thing that did indeed override Macrovision was our Time Base Correctors. Hardware-based TBC's used to be available for the Amiga back then, although I never used any of them (we already had hardware-based standalone rack TBC's attached to our switcher).

well it was just an unsupported rumour i heard
nothing more
the first thing id get for macrovision would be those signal stabilizers on ebay

Yup, they work since Macrovision is just sync signals that are corrected by these units (the same way a TBC does it, only at a higher cost!)

Back in the day, some of the crack groups were not only into console warez, but also VHS trading. One sysop (from the Pseudo-Ops crack group) sent me a buttload of the latest cracks in exchange for one of those that I had no use for. I should have kept it, knowing that I'd not have the luxury of those TBC's forever. (sigh)
