That's one advantage I've found to low-polyphony devices like the SID or Paula - it really makes you focus on simple melody and accompaniment rather than wandering afield into soundscape experimentation and whatnot.

I really need to check out more of Lynne's Amiga work; I encountered 12WAR as a member of the Megazeux community, and it was a huge influence on my own budding attempts at music composition; I owe a lot to that. Still a favorite song, which is why I bought the re-recording

Good tune, but very strange choice for this game. It is more like cute platform game music than space shoot-em-up music.

Matt Furniss is an accomplished professional.

I think the modules he made for Psygnosis' Cytron are two small delights. Even if its guitar sample seems not to be 'revolutionary'.. first and second module are different and very very good.
The third one is a bit more standard for what amiga scene musicians did that year and previous.

Listen them at lemonamiga module-player. http://www.lemonamiga.com/?game_id=299

Most of the music in Speris Legacy is really good. I like the end theme in particular.

Double Dragon 3 has an awesome title track with rain. I actually prefer the cutdown version that was used in the attract sequence "mod.titlemusic v2" rather than the original longer version (in the bonus folder).

I also really like the Snow Bros intro music (the track called Spotlight) - if you leave it running, it gets really funky!

I can't believe that Hired Guns has yet to recieve a mention. I remember being completely blown away the first time I booted it up. Indeed all the audio in that game is exceptional.

Projectyle comes to mind. Very catchy tunes, suitable for a fast paced sports game.
