Unappreciated music?

I often read about the same great music championed on here like Chris Huelsbeck and amazing T2 etc and that is rightly so, but i don't think i've ever read anything in the same way of Drivin Force for example or G.N.I.U.S. I'm surprised Zany Golf is recognized in fact because i think it also falls into this catgory of wonderfully clever music

Driving Force and G.N.I.U.S have music that is exceptionally arranged beyond what you normally get to hear on Amiga. The writer of Driving Force in particular understands tune and structure better than most, with G.N.I.U.S sounding altogether something else and quite stunnng. it's rather odd these never gets any real shouts then unless they do?

I suppose my point is that this type music is so well developed and by people that seem to understands the art past just some technically impressive repeat blocks like what is often the norm

Perhaps there are others too that need a shout

Anyone here know the names of these two musicians or what other stuff they have done

Another game that I don't see mentioned much, that had good music, springs to mind now, [ Show youtube player ]

p.s. according to Lemon Amiga, the music on Drivin' Force was by Bjørn Lynne

Bjorn Lynne was Dr.Awesome/Crusaders

He did the great music for the game Escape From Colditz too and also made what is, in my opinion, the best Amiga mod ever:

Space Deliria - http://amp.dascene.net/downmod.php?index=19328 used in the Crusaders demo of the same name: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=5505

hmm i'm a big fan of Bjorn Lynne so i should really have known that. I like his Amiga work more than what i've heard of his later stuff to be honest though maybe that's because it was so tune based back then rather than strands of tune

I am not really into these tunes you have posted, they lack the "oomph" that others give me.

Turrican 2's soundtrack is something fantastic, truly a rare thing, as a whole, not one special piece of music within it and that makes it truly special. I think it may be my favourite videogame soundtrack ever. Every tune is just right, sets the mood right, it's composition-wise very good, and it remains stuck in your head forever.

Then there's Olof Gustaffson a.k.a. Blazier, each and every one of his tunes, is amazing and remained forever in my head. Benefactor's music is fantastic and one of my favourite works from him.

It's just my opinion though, each one has its own. I personally love non plus ultra, but most people would disagree :P

This is another one I think has some fantastic music, but it is not credited in HOL. Anybody knows who made the audio?

Yeah the lack of oomph i can understand in Driving Force as it's more about how the how tune works so well that impresses me, and also in Gnius regards to it's sheer mastery. These two tunes stand out for being better realised from a musical point than anything else and not as banging

Turrican 2 achieves less perhaps in one area where it doesn't actually matter quite as much, but ends up doing everything else so incredibly well that it's deservedly championed so much

Now that's a good website! I remembered Nick Faldo's golf had some good music, so I just looked it up there. It's not quite as good as I remembered.

Some more acclaim for the G.Nius music at last. The music was also used on the game Outzone. Amazing stuff. Totally unique. I consider it to be among the best on the Amiga. It was written by Andre Bescond. I often wonder if he went on to create non-Amiga music.

Unless my memory is mistaken, Bjorn Lynne told me that the Colditz music was used without permission or payment.

Another under-appreciated work is Extase, mostly by Stephane Picq. It's weird, amazing and is dynamic depending on the gameplay.

Even got the (I know I know sad) cd, . Which still get played today.

Anyone mention KGB, I like the tunes on that to.

Think my favorite cd I play is the one Chris Huelsbeck gave me and signed.
I turned into a blabbering idiot when I met him, lol.

Sorry to highlight this, but as I guess it was unintentional and as it is very funny, I wanted to preserve this mistyping for the future

Title music to Never Mind - http://hol.abime.net/957

The entire Extase soundtrack, samples are brilliant and the way it reacts to the gameplay is superb - http://hol.abime.net/2898

Double Dragon 2 Title Music (Uncle Tom) -http://hol.abime.net/395

As IFW said - Unreal, but I have a special reason for "loving" the title music! *cough*

The theme music to Cosmic Relief (Terramex) is one of those tunes that has popped in my head at random over the years.

Could someone tell me at which moment mod.(Dune)EXXOLOVE was used in game? Or is it some unused music? http://amp.dascene.net/detail.php?de...ules&view=7068

Not from Dune.
Not listed on Unexotica:
http://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/UnExo...mes_By_Title/D
Don't remember hearing it in the PC version either nor in Spice Opera.

Quick search online seems to indicate it is from KGB:
[ Show youtube player ]

And it seems it is:
