I would make a donation of ten euros for the port, would you donate?how much?

Sorry to have to disappoint you, but meynaf's HOMM2 port is based on the 68k Mac version. He basically resourced the game, and adapted it to run on the Amiga (with help from Don Adan). With peecee games this is harder (68k Mac porting based on resourced executables is already hard).

Peecee games have to be converted from scratch, or you have to resource the game's executables, and translate everything by hand

I'd love to see Super Sprint as the Atari ST version wasn't too bad, but it'd be nice if it was enhanced rather than directly converted as it'd be much nicer in PAL rather than NTSC screen size.

Man, I thought you meant peecee games

ST games shouldn't be that hard to port. Meynaf has made a port of the ST version of Dungeon Master, and I'm willing to bet that that wasn't as difficult as porting HOMM2 from the Mac.

Couldn't vote because Oids is missing here

Oids and Super Sprint would recieve my votes. The thing with Super Sprint on the ST was that it was better than everything else like it. It was a klller exclusive at the time for me personally and i even prefer it to the Arcade version that i lived on

Not perhaps that many games i'd be jealous of at the time if i owned Amiga, but my switch over meant i greatly missed Oids and Super Sprint. Surprised really no effort has yet been made getting these over

I don't miss Oids. The Amiga has Gravity Force, which is probably the better game.

It completely baffles me why this was not ported to the Amiga, while the C64 got it !

The Amiga with its better graphics and sound capabilities would have been the logical platform to choose.

I know this game is not in the list, but would it be possible to port over to the Amiga?

Porting a game is a long and tremendous job. My port of HOMM2 isn't even finished, and people are already asking for HOMM3 and now others.

Do i have time to satisfy them all ? Assuredly not.

Perhaps i can take the time to port one game - if there is a reward

On second thought...

I don't have much time, but it does not cost too much to have a look. Some games are just too complex to port, but others may be easy enough.

However, i need suitable disk images to start something.
Emulator disk images may use a format that's not good for a port : what i want is just image of sectors in natural order. Protection does not matter. That is, same format as ADFs : just the data.

I have Gauntlet game already, but my version has errors, leading to bad gfx. After first look at the code, i think i can do a playable version in a reasonably small amount of time. Do anyone have it ? A 819200 bytes image is what i need, with sector at $CE400 having correct graphic data and not garbage (same value all long).

Also if you guys want Super Sprint (the most wanted game here ?) to be ported, i need a disk image of it (perhaps both disk images and game files, as i don't want to mess with FAT anymore).

So please put some disk images in the zone, or give me download link - and i'll try.

I will surely donate to you if you produce an Amiga port of Super Sprint and I'm sure others will follow suit.

Would it be any easier task to port it to a WHDLoad version? as I think a lot of people would ask for this to be done anyway once an adf version is available.
I haven't got the first clue if this is difficult or not, I'm no programmer, but I'm pretty sure it's a very long and complicated process.

I just thought maybe it would be better to have a WHDLoad version than adf or no?

WhdLoad is NOT necessary to port games. Neither is adf.

Neither WhdLoad nor Adf. The final program will simply run under the operating system, launchable from WB and running in multitask.

You can download an Atari ST disc version of Super Sprint from planetemu.net. The files are easily copied from the disk image. Super Sprint would be a good choice because the ST version is actually quite playable.

I think I still have my disassembly of Super Sprint somewhere if you're interested.
I also know that the highscore was saved with a higher precision than the one displayed, and believe me we were very good at this game and we did some best laps that needed that precision. I even know a bug where you can earn many keys. To me it's a very playable game very enjoyable at 3 players, better than the arcade.

Metro-Cross

The 1985 Namco arcade classic.

Atari ST was the only home 16-bit port.
