Lurker no more

Hello one and all!
I've been an Amiga user since 1990, I didn't find my way to this board until 2007. I've been lurking once in a while here since then.
I'm quite active in other 'alternative' communities such as Linux and other open source projects - though under different names.

I must admit that on this side of the millenium I've gotten my Amiga fix through emulation thanks to the awesome work by Toni Wilen et al.

Recently though I got my old Amiga out of the closet and it still works! so I've got that setup with it's own desk in my home now and figured this would be a good time to actually register on this board

Big welcome, nice to see a lurker surface!

As Graham hinted at, it can be addictive messing around with old hardware and the Amiga in general - ask fitzsteve.

Amiga: Addictive and Expensive

Welcome to EAB Epsilon

Recovering an old Amiga from darkened closet or cobwebbed loft is just the start of it... the "sickness" soon kicks in with you buying an accelerator and then a monitor, maybe a new desk... resistance is futile...

stay a while, stay forever

>insert more Cliché if required

You've no idea how correct that is, I'm already shopping around amigakit.com for an accelerator and a harddrive upgrade...
I'm sure it'll be an impossible mission trying to leave :P
