Congrats, Graham!

I haven't bought RG for a while, but I'll be getting that issue for sure!

LOL, 86 percent Credited in such a respected magazine, you are now very famous man, Graham. It means you must be also very rich. Will you marry me?

BTW: I also tried two player game with my brother and it is surprisingly tough - we couldnt beat level 4 together.

I took a photo of it in WH Smiths today. Shocked and proud to see it in there having not seen this thread

Excuse the skewed angle, was holding the mag in one hand, camera in the other.

Thanks Always a surreal moment finding it in a magazine

Talking of which... if anybody subscribes to Retro Gamer then issue 105 should be hitting your doormats any day now. It has an interview with me (complete with photo of my ugly mug) about the making of Downfall.

Also, Amiga Future issue 97 contains a page review of the game, again a positive one.

I have also been sent interview questions for the RGCD website... Downfall will also be reviewed on there soon too. When that's all done and published I will let you know.

Now, maybe I should start writing another game...

Let's hope whatever game Graham decides to produce next, is much better than either BoloBall or Balloon Challenge And congrats on all the positive press, I have the utmost respect for anyone who spends so much of their free time to produce an Amiga game these days (and for 0.00 too).

I hope next Remainder production will be something more personalised than a simple puzzler. Something with some sprites that player can identify with. In short - a game with a hero. Not a cursor or ball or so. I would love some platformer, or adventure, or even shooter. But at first I hope we will finish the Downfall AGA. We need more artists.

Thank you all for the comments, they are appreciated

@wilshy: Cheers for the offer but we don't need any more sound effects for Downfall. It really now only needs the new high-score routine written so it supports joypads but to be honest my own motivation for this is quite low at the minute. I'm just dying to work on a new project

I'm still not totally sure what I want to write but definitely something with a bit of character about it. The idea of some sort of Dizzy-style arcade adventure has always appealed to me for some reason. It'd be a fair bit of work, just coming up with a decent story and puzzles if nothing else, but a bit of imagination could work wonders.

Yes, I am patiently waiting for a finished version and then I'll make my level editor compatible with that too.

Yes, I saw that and read it

Tell me about it. I have started writing a draft document (first time I've ever done that before starting a project!) regarding a game I intend to make sometime in the next few months, but I haven't even begun thinking about a story that goes with it yet!

Scan it to me pls. It is not easy to get RetroGamer here, mostly due to the cruel postage.

I used to subscribe, for a good 2 years. I still buy from time to time, so in these harsh economic times I'm allowed the odd freebie.

Nice to get a full page mention!

What annoyed me is that garbage article about the Atari ST in the same issue, showing 5 games that are better than the Amiga versions (allegedly) and that the ST was more than a match for the Amiga! Utter garbage that article, and about 6 pages devoted to it! Which moron wrote that tripe?
