Cannabalt for C64? It's more likely than you think!

Programmer Adam Atomic recently released the source code of his hit web game Cannabalt, which was followed by a fantastic reception from various programmers and open source enthusiasts. One particulary inspired programmer decided to pay tribute in a most original way, that is by porting Cannabalt to the C64. More information about this project including the rom download and a preview video can be found here.

It's really good as well. Played it a few weeks back.

Apparently there's another unnoficial version made by a different person. Tried both, and this one is by far my favourite. Here's the link for the download: http://noname.c64.org/csdb/release/?id=103017

Very close call both are very good!

CANABALT [unofficial, pal] seems to have issues registering fire button presses sometimes for me, will explore some more

Thanks for the links

I noticed that too. Controls seem unresponsive sometimes especially when jumping off crumbling buildings. However, the difficulty curve and the speed/gap size algorythm seems to be closer to the original in CANABALT [unofficial, pal]. The graphics and sound effects are also better. To be fair I wish there was a middle ground between both versions since the "official" one has definitely smoother controls.
