Video Toaster 4000 & Flyer CD 4.3 + floppies

I'm buying a video Toaster 4000 and a Flyer and will need the software. I've read the latest version is 4.3 cd and it needs an install disk. Can someone make an iso and adf for me?

Also do I need any other floppies for Flyer? Can someone make images of them for me preferably the latest version?

Why are these always sold without software? Didn't they come with software? or did people buy software after buying the cards?

PS: Will send a gift. Name what you want from Turkey :P

They came with software, its just people didn't keep up with it 15+ years later after most toaster users quit using them.

Apparently even though the software has gone open source, and people are having trouble buying the cd from Newtek, (I can understand them. They probably have many new people working there not knowing what an Amiga is) people who buy Toaster and Flyer second hand can't compile the source code for themselves and most other people won't bother sending them an iso of the 4.3 cd.

Please someone archive this software.

some searching brought up a old amiga.org thread with some links like:

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=961EHGR6

then the newtek FTP

ftp://ftp.newtek.com/pub/Patches/Flyer/

Look around the ftp 4.3 might be there but i doubt it.I think i saw 4.2 there. The floppy installer disk for sure(which i think needs to be high density).

you will probabaly find more video toaster users on amiga.org and might try asking there.

supposedly 4.3 is still available new from Newtek.com

hope this helps a bit.

thanks for the links!

I hope I can find the 4.3 cd image and the latest flyer software.

Newtek did not reply my email.

Isn't this software freeware and open source? Why doesn't someone preserve these disks just in case.

I still need an image of the 4.3 install floppy.

(can there be high density dms, adf or ipf files?)

Yep, it looks like you uploaded it okay. I've created a folder with your username and moved it there awaiting its transfer to the main (downloads) part of the file server.

Lots of stuff. Hardware like TBCs and software like Alpha Paint. I just got a Kitchen Sync installed in my Toaster 4000. I didn't need a TBC for a while but my newer DVD Player and Satellite box don't put out analog video that the Toaster can sync to. The newer video equipment is designed for HD video and the composite and s-video is downscaled from the HD format.

The Toaster works in NTSC and you won't be able to use PAL video with it.

It looks like the Floppy is taken care of but if it doesn't work out, PM me. I've got an adf image of the install floppy.

Toaster 4.3 install floppy uploaded to Megaupload.

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3GYDN4CW

Should be put on the ftp site. I have images of Alpha Paint and Toaster Vision disks as well but I'm having trouble reading the files with Winuae from an Amiga formatted zip disk.

Where can I find the CD and floppy image on the Magix FTP? I searched...couldn't find it.

EDIT: Never mind, found them in the user upload sections under your handles. Thanks!

Hey folks,

I too am looking for the DMS/ADF images of the 4_3 install floppies. I managed to find the CD, burned it to disk, but still cannot re-install the software without them.

Newtek does not have them anymore, already tried that route.

I checked the FTP, but was unable to find them...MegaUpload is shut down by the FBI or something, so that is a dead end as well. I'm guessing because this is a fairly old thread they've since been removed or put somewhere else.

Can someone re-upload, or tell me where they are so I can download?

Would be much appreciated!

Thanks

a working toaster

The floppy image is on the ftp site. It's now in the CD/App section.

Thanks for the reply...

I'm looking and I think I must be blind, I still don't see it.

I see VideoToaster43.zip in the CD/App folder, but this only contains a nero image of the CD, no floppy disk image. Am I close?

***EDIT***

Nevermind I found it....

App/Disk/Toaster4.3.adf

Thanks again.
