Maybe it works better for real. I have the problems on WinUAE when searching the files: it was saying the directory doesn't exist and later it was giving an I/O problem.

If you used an older version before Beta 3, delete the tinylauncher folder in s: and configure again.

From the version I downloaded last (not sure if this is the very latest?), I am getting this:

A black screen with the game name, then "Detecting Tooltypes", then the program quits, followed by guru.

Any ideas? Cheers.

Tooltypes does not work even with the latest beta here. MOD scan function will be updated and does not work either, it will kick you out with I/O error. Other then that it's very useable.
If you still have problems do what Retro-Nerd suggests.

Tooltypes works fine on my real Amiga with the latest 04-15 beta Gibs posted on Youtube, also with yesterdays 04-14. Anyway, i have problems in WinUAE (latest beta 18). I also get an "I/O error Tinylauncher failed return code 20" error after the games scan.

Ok now it is working pretty good, but Skidmarks2Aga just gives me a Guru. If I run the game directly it works (double click on the icon instead of going through TL.

One question, how do I refresh the game database after copying a few more games in the directory?

Cheers!

Press F1 in the navigation menu for a database update.

So if I install it on a real Amiga, can I just point it to a single directory for game listing?

Yes, it also works with A-Z subfolders (second level scan).

Thanks

One more thing, I have two folders with games: Dh0:games/AGA and Dh0:games/ECS - when I vew the games in TL, it shows me first the AGA games (A-Z), then the rest (starts from A to Z again). Is there a way that ALL games are shown together A to Z?

PS. Can someone test Skidmarks2AGA?

There is need to split ECS and AGA games in different folders. Put them all into A-Z folders and scan again. The new Beta 3 doesn't use AGA/ECS menu setups anymore, only "Games". For Skidmarks 2 AGA. I will check it later.

Edit: Do you mean the Amiga Dos installed Super Skidmarks AGA? The WHDLoad Patch only supports the CD32 version.

@Retro-Nerd: ok, but until he do not handle F10 key or Exit position to return "5" like old version, there is no way to leave TinyLauncjher in s-s to continue load Classic WB on my real Amiga. Because I did instant loop to use TinyLauncher by default, but sometimes I neeed to leave that loop and continue loading system. So we must wait to new version to be fixed anyway.

Well, i can't say anything about booting it via s-s. But it works fine in normal WB start use.

Thanks!

Tooltypes are a feature. So TinyLauncher can read the set Custom=1-5 options in the game icon, e.g. for trainer, language selection. As i said, for me the tooltypes works fine. You can disable them with the "T" key in the navigation menu.

edit: No question though. What WB setup do you use? With New Icons installed you shouldn't get a guru.

Well, i have a ACA1230 with 64MB fastram. ClassicWB LITE v28. It doesn't happen for you with the older TinyLauncher 2.2 beta 67?

Yes, even with 2.2b67 but I used that one on my A500+ which is gone now.
Maybe it's lack of fast ram.

Ok now I think my Amiga is possessed. Whatever I do, I get a GURU when I try to run a game using the latest TinyLauncher. ANY game.

I then removed the new TL and installed the one on Aminet. All games work.

I'm out of ideas.

Remember it's a beta you can't expect to use it without any flaws.
