Hey - nice video... I remember this Hand Held... in fact I think I had the earlier version... just plain old Galaxy Invader and even a Tandy/Realistic copy of it!

Love the old Hand Held's... enjoyed the video, thanks!

PS... why on Earth did you give up gaming in 2005 - you left at a time when gaming was just amazing!

actually, are we counting LED games? As that yellow Galaxy Invader 1000 LED game, was then my first game. And very good it was too.

I had both the Galaxy Invader & Puck Monster pictured. (as well as loads of others)

Puck Monster used to give me a sore thumb!

I remember the first two. Think Mini Munchman could be done blindfold once you were familiar with it. (Wasn't there a landscape version of the same game?)

The red thing I don't remember though

Guess you guys have seen this site ...

Edit: Ah it was Merlin

Anybody remember the Tomytronic "3D" stuff???

Aha, Sky Attack I think. Also my fave, though only cause my mate had it for Christmas (guess 81/82) and we found it hidden by his parents. We'd given it a good caning by the time Christmas came round haha.

I had the blue one , ummm Planet Zeon I think, which was stupid hard and 3D Skyfighters which was cool. My brother got the white car one.

Ahh good times

although my actual first electronic game was umm some black car thing. More mechanical really. Errr, lemm think.

my older cousin had a speccy at the time. He said once you get a computer, you don't want any sad hand-held stuff. He was right lol

I'm surprised nobodys taken it upon themselves to remake them with dual lcd's and some crap 3d action games

black car thing?

steering wheel + a "screen" on the right?

wasn't tomy turbo dashboard was it? though not completely black and probably not actually what you're talking about

meanwhile, these images are too big, so here they are as links

Quality items. I remember owning a Tandy Kingman game and then taking it apart to see how it worked!!

A couple of years back I went to an 80s theme party and an old CGL Superkong game was doing the rounds. The event organiser agreed to swap it for a round of drinks!! Nice addition to my collection
