Great stuff. Working for me in WinUAE. Will test in real A1200 later.

Just a note: If you use Retroplay's WHDLoad pack updates. The are some cases where the zip of the game, e.g 'ClueAGA', unpacks to a folder called 'TheClueAGA'. If this is in your 'C' directory, as it was mine, this results in fastnav displaying ABCTDE... Easily resolvable at the user end, just letting you know.

Cheers

Really, there must be something. The previous beta didn't work at all and the scan took ages and showed all scanned files (readme, slave, infos, disk.1 etc) from the games folders. Anyway, it works and i'm happy.

Can you test FastNav (Down & Joytstick)?

Tested b45, crashes while scanning at ~700. I got something like: "Illegal function call code 20" when launched TL from WB and started scanning on a real A1200.

b44 also had 'Illegal function call' during scanning (at around 1500) in my case. WinUAE, launched from WB.

Yes, this works great
Don't know if you have tried to fix it yet, but the premature fastnav bug is still present in b45.

PS: I also get crashes while scanning my folders now.

Thanks for testing guys.

-I have successfully scanned the KG collection in 2nd level (2479 games detected, should miss the long names).
-I have fixed the Fastnav bug of B45 while indexing the letters, as I was working on the SuperNashwan request. So now it's working.
-I have fixed the KTC bug (Crash while browsing a huge list)

Yariiiba !!

@KTC going to connect my joystick to check that

Edit: I would like to make a poll on this forum, to know if everybody is agree to mix EGS/AGA.
How to do it ?

I'll test that latest version in a moment.

Don't know how to set up a poll but I reckon the best thing would be to combine ECS/AGA into one and add a 'favourites' category.

I've successfully scanned over 1000 KG/Retroplay games with Beta 46.

Sounds good to me. I already have all ECS/AGA games mixed in my folders.

I think most people have ECS/AGA mixes as that's how the WHDLoad packs come, let's wait for the poll though!

Ok, I tested b46. I still get the ...ABCTDE... in the fastnav. But really not an issue. Just need to rename a couple of the Retroplay folders. And maybe these should be corrected at source?

Also notice that on the prelaunch screen "Detected Tooltypes:" shows nothing, but games and demos launch.

You are right. The extra tooltypes aren't detected and shown anymore. And i get a "File not opened" error after i manually quit TinyLauncher.

Well I have the dir list a-z + AGA and CD32

If I use the b46 it stops with an illegal function call and stops around 600 when scanning sub level

Tried from full CWB Workbench and from clean cli nothing differs

@BanisterDK
Are you sure you were using B46 ? I don't think logs were activated.

@Prowler
Thanks

The poll link is on the 1st page 4th line.

@SuperNashwan
Can you explain me in another way ? Edit: Ahh ok...I can't do that, it's up to you to drop the game directory in the right subdir.

Beta 47:

Just recanned my partition, now it crashes after 100 games with software failure after i've deleted the old S:Tinylauncher files. Tooltypes weren't shown neither, before i've deleted the TL files. Quit error message is fixed though.

Edit: Strange, a second scan worked fine. The tooltypes aren't detected though.

Scan worked fine for me but still no tooltypes.

Edit: Tooltypes on games (A-Z, two-level) but not demos (one-level)

Hmm with B47

I have:
-Deleted S:TinyLauncher
-Configured Games 2 levels (full KG pack)
-scan 2479 games with no crash
Tooltypes are here

Then Configures demos 1 levels (270 demos)
-scan 270 demos with no crash
Tooltypes are here
