Hmmm, that doesn't make any sense to me...
Let me give you some more details:

Code:
The path to my info file is DH0:Demos/9Fingers/9Fingers.info
Tiny Launcher 2.2b30
Running on my WinUAE setup as described in an earlier post.
Can you launch the demo from the same build with an unmodified info file, and does it detect the tool types and everything?

Yes, I tried with that build, it works for me. I have never modified any TT except Katakis for testing purpose.

In this version all FastNav issues you have reported should be fixed:

Edit : My demos aren't in a Shared directory but in a HDF file with PFS3.

I've tried your TlCrashDebug.exe. It's shows nothing, doesn't write any log. Beta 34 still quits to the Desktop too and doesn't scan my A-Z folders.

2.2b34:

1) I still run out of buffer around 1550 entry mark (point 1 in my bug report from yesterday) when building the database.

2) Fastnav is still activated as soon as I get to the top entry on a page, but the letter-case stuff works now.

3) NewIcon info files still crash on launch. Even though much points towards system setups when we get different results, it is really strange that normal icon type info files work just fine with my setup and also when there is no info file, and it only crashes when there is a NewIcons info file. This suggests some other problem.
I am running Tiny Launcher before just about everything else in my startup-sequence. Only Setpatch is run before, and I have even tried booting without startup-sequence to test, I also renamed S:Tinylauncher and created a new config and I tried removing newicon.library from Libs, but all with the same results.
My install is based on ClassicWB v27.
Are you using any special libraries or anything I could look at, when you are scanning the info file for tool types?

1/ I'm sure I'm going to fix it

2/ I don't understand what you expect.
I fixed the letters, and now when you enter into fastnav you can press "esc" to escape and it escape as it should. Before If you were entering Fastnav and the you were on "P", it was bringin you in "A" on exit.
This is what I fixed.

3/ Actually I don't know what to say.

RetroNerd, I'm going to give you another version that will tell more about your crash

1) I like your spirit

2) Well, there were different issues. The first was that fastnav activated as soon as I navigated to the top entry. I just checked again, but it seems to be working in the latest build.
The "esc" to cancel fastnav is great, but could you please add joystick down too, so you can cancel fastnav with the joystick too.
If this is implemented, fastnav is just about perfect if you ask me

3) I would like other testers to reply in this thread to say if they experience the problems I am having too, or it works fine as it does on your system.
I will also test it on my real Amiga shortly to see if it works there.
I hope I have explained the issue and my test scenarios well enough for you. Otherwise, please let me know and I will try to clarify.
There is no doubt in my mind that we will find a way to fix the issues I am experiencing.

PS: What are the specs on the system you are testing on?

Tried the 2.2b34 and it only finds 1 game in directory R. (I have all the KGpacks installed). If I then start the game TL quits to desktop and restarts. Running Winuae and the latest ClassicWB. Games are on Software:Games and I have set the path to exactly Software:Games

Apparently the path is valid, because I get no error?

Is there something I just have missed here?

@KTC

1/ Thanks
2/ Ok (of course)

Amiga 1200 B1260 128MB RAM Workbench 3.1 on a 4GB single partition

@RetroNerd
This one should report some logs : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1566495/Tiny...ncher22b36.exe

Thanks

@emuola
This is because it has detected a Exe/TL/Slave in your first level.
Drop it in your seconds and it will do its job

Actually there are no exe/TL/Slave files in the root of the drive/in the Games folder. I just checked. The path looks like this: Software:Games/A etc and there are only the alphabetical folders there.

Is there something more I can test to find the reason for this?

*Edit*
My whdload games are in a directory mapped as hard disk in Winuae, not inside a hdf-file (if it makes a difference).

If you have set in the config:
Dh0:Games

And that your directories A, B, C, D are under Games

It has detected that a directory under games has an Exe/TL/slave has been found in dh0:games/R/

what can you see in your list ?

Sorry Gibs for being so dumb here Youre right, I had a mysterious rar.exe in the R-folder...

Thank you, I'll start proper testing now

Ok, tried with my real A1200/1230IV@50/64MB/4GB/ClassicWB27. I can scan the AGA games ok, but the scan crashes during scanning the ECS games appr at nr 1000. Unfortunately, when I try to run any AGA game I always get "Software failure..."

@Gibs

Is it ok to have a folder called AGA at the same level than the A-Z folders? So, the folders would be like 0_9, A, AGA, B, C etc

@emuola

Are your AGA directories games are in the 1st Level or 2nd ?
Is it because of the buffer running out ? (if yes, I'm going to fix that).

@With a "AGA" folder (containing games) in the middle, your games won't be displayed/sorted correctly in the list.
This is the reason why I don't scan the second directory. If something is found in the first one. I would have then to reorganize the titles... and I think it would be slow for a A500.

My games are like this:

ECS:

Games:A-Z folders with subfolder/game

ie Games:A/A-10 tank killer/.slave

AGA:

Games:AGA/subfolder/game

ie Games:AGA/Alienbreed3d/.slave

This is not good?
