Retroplay's WHD uploads

All updates now available on Magix FTP.

Quote:
Magix FTP Details:

Server : ftp.magix.ws
Username : ftp[at]magix.ws
Password : ftp[at]magix.ws
Port : 21
SFTP Port : 2222

Replace [at] with @
or the easy way for the lazy.

ftp://ftp@magix.ws:ftp@magix.ws@ftp.magix.ws
You'll find the goodies in /Commodore_Amiga/Retroplay/WHDLoad_Updates/ directory.

Compatible files or disk images wanted:

Coloris
Player Manager (French)
U.N. Squadron (German)

Games with slave errors:
MeanMachines_v1.2 - Crashes on my A1200 and WinUAE but old v1.1 works, bug report already filed a while ago at MantisBT.

Magazines with slave errors:
Exit 5 v1.0 - "Illegal instruction ($10)", bug report already filed at MantisBT

See attached txt files for what's new.

From now on all new installs will be added as .lha archives, .zip is unpredictable and causes errors in some games.

WorldOfCommodore_v1.5_Sanity added to demos, keep v1.4 as v1.5 only supports one version of the demo and they are slightly different.

v1.4 = World of Commodore (1992)(Sanity)
v1.5 = World of Commodore (1992)(Sanity)[a]

Rock'n roll!
But would it make sense to sort games/demos by date added? So one can instantly know what's new and get it without going through the whole list...

Actually, I think the year and the month will suffice and, imho, would be easier to follow too, but let's wait and see how Bamiga2002 and yourself thinks.

Retroplay, you're still missing proper images for Mean Machine v1.2 and UN Squadron (German) v1.2 right? Maybe you could add that info to the first post so everyone can see you need them and hopefully someone can help you getting those sooner or later.

What I would really like is the updated WHDLoad zips and a WHDLoad.xml file to go with them.

Is there any chance one could be made to include the new additions?

Hmm you're right, if I use the public ftp nothing shows up but when I use my private upload account they show up.
I'll ask Magix what happened.

Thanks for keeping this up to date!

Just noticed there are a bunch of new slaves on 31.10.2011 that aren't on the list even though Fatal Mission is. Will you be adding the others too or are you missing the right versions?

They have already been added but I didn't include them on the games list as they are cracktros only.
Have a look in the cracktros folder on the FTP.

Oh and I added the Magazine installs too, except Exit 5, which errors with "Illegal instruction ($10)" right after I press the mouse button.

Just noticed that the WHD Demo section can now be found at two different places.
Here:
0:/Commodore_Amiga/Demo/WHDLoad Demos Update/
and here:
0:/Commodore_Amiga/Preinstalled_WHDLoad_Games_and_Demos_by_Retroplay@eab/WHDLoad_Updates/Demos/

So where can the updates be found for future releases?

I always use "/Commodore_Amiga/Preinstalled_WHDLoad_Games_and_Demos_by_Retroplay@eab/WHDLoad_Updates/" dir when I upload anything WHD related.

The version string in Turrican2.slave is v1.8 in Turrican2_v1.7_0029. But the readme doesnt contain the v1.8 changes. Does anyone else noticed this?
ps. I see the same for the installer package on WHDLoad supp. page.

Yes, the dir is really to long. Maybe you can change it, so it is not so deep. 10-20 folders in one directory is ok.

Magix would have to change the dir name as I can't do it.

Oh and btw, quite a few games has been added the past couple of days in case you haven't noticed.
