I am still waiting for Defender of the Crown and Wings to come out on the GBA. They were supposed to be out by May.

I agree Miggy. That would be horrible. Those 2 games are legends. Maybe DOTC was not so great as Wings, but it'd still be bad.

Yea, Cinemaware should be shot for putting out crap like these PC versions of DOTC and Three Stooges. They are both made in Flash (yuk) and they stink...

Altough Three Stooges for GBA is kinda fun, it is by far not the original...

Good bump, anyway, Parallax. Because I wonder what Akira thinks of the new Nintendo DS. 2D is not very well represented in it. And forget about the PSP for 2D

Haven't seen anything on the DS so I cannot form any sort of opinion I' m afraid. The machine's design is terrible, I can say that.

I think what I said a bunch of years ago will still be true today: the GBA is the last true 2D machine

I have a DS. Been playing the Wario game which works quite well, I'll be getting another title tommorrow although it's title is a mystery. The one bad think about the DS itself is cramp, holding it in one hand whilst using the stylus in another is a little awkward but maybe i need to build my wrists up?

It could really do with a stand on the back so it can be placed on a table in a way that allows both screens to be viewed without craneing the neck.

Maybe... But if you just hold the DS in the flat palm of yor left and use the stylus in your ight, it's not really that uncomfortable -just don't try holding it at the side as if you were about to ue the conrol pad with your thumb - that would probably cause handache...

What you need, Peanut, is a metal frame going around the back of your neck and resting upon your chest so that the DS is held in a fixed position for use at all time

Maybe your hands are the right size. I think it's probably me just being weedy.

I guess Akira won't be able to continue this thread with the DS as it can't be emulated, he sure hasn't bought all these duffers.

I saw some report on a german game mag DVD called MANIAC.
The design of the DS is totaly poor. But I think that it will get a famous mashine. Bud sadly with not many 2d games I think.

It is sad that there are so many crappy 3d games on the GBA.
Have you played Kill Switsh on GBA??? Urrghhhh this game is terrible!

There is a lot of crap for the GBA. Not many really good games. But why???

Cool GBA games are:

TERMINATOR 3
TOP GEAR RALLY
IRIDON 2 and 3D
Eggs Vs. Sever ( or something )
MEDAL OF HONOR
GO! GO Backham
V-RALLY

It was also cool to have the old composers back in the industry.
Allister Brimble, Barry Leitch, Marc Cooksey and Dave Whittaker had great comebacks on the GBA.

But we need a bit more. EURO releases for the GBA. Hope that the DS will bring a bit more EURO stuff.
I hope that the GBA will have a lot of releases in 2005 too. Whould be very sad to loose such a great plattform.

2D - THE ONLY WAY TO PLAY!!! KEP IT ALIVE PEOPLE!!!

I recently ordered a gba and now I'm discovering the available games with virtualboy while waiting it to arrive. I'm sad to see that bitmap brothers and sensible software games didn't make it!

2d alone isn't enough to make a good game. I don't like most of the new japanese games on gba. Most are gay, not serious enough to be entertaining. You know what I mean from this thread, typical nintendo. I would wish there be serious european game developers for gba now, like the way amiga did, or better japanese game design teams that sega had in 90s.

But in worst case, I'll still be using it it as a game gear emulator. Too bad it can'^t emulate mega drive. Maybe I should invest on a gp32 next.

F-word on computer game

A GIRL of seven found the words "F*** off and die" on her Disney computer game.

Jim - Looks like the father bought his GBA carts from down the pub or car boot (tut tut) .. The comment was in a crackers intro and poor ol Disney are not to blame.

*Clicky*

What a knob the father is, letting the planet know he buys pirate gear.

Funny that, I was thinking something similar but not knowing too much about the GBA scene didn't know this stuff existed. I know you can get FlashROM carts but didn't know they were making actually pirate ROM carts to use in a standard GBA. I'm a bit 3 years behind western technology due to my current location.

The fact that doing a Google News search for this also led me to similar conclusions as The Sun was the only link highlighting this/

And of course, anyone in the UK knows the track-record of The Sun's reporting with by far the worst example being Hillsborough.

So do we expect a full apology in tomorrow's Sun to Disney/Nintendo ?

A hypocrite of seven. I don't see anything wrong if she already knows what it means!

Correction, because you can't be arsed, more like. You can buy Nintendo DS on the streets of Buenos Aires already. If you did not keep up the country is not to blame, more so when you have internet access.

AND you can find this sort of pirate crap (and multicarts) in parque Rivadavia and similar shit. We always get the hongkong pirate shit first than Europe.

So tut tut
