There is no such thing. You use a kickstart rom to match the target architecture of the game you want to play, there is no one screwdriver to fit all the screws.

my favorite kickstart is this...says 3.5
I compiled it for winuae..is bsed on the A1200 kick 40.68
removed pcmcia stuff cause it doesn't works on winuae

added floppy device from the A4000T kickstart (no clicks in floppy)..added new ram-handler that support long file names in ram disk ..and with the new exec which boot faster
that's all I do not need anymore

The fight between 1.2, 1.3 and 2.0 were immense but I have to say 1.3.

Is this true? Was KS 3.9 a hack?

yes it is hack compiled kickstart done by somebody
you can compile your own kickstart using REMUS program
on exec is the info about year and version and is possible change it and compile it to say 7.0 if you want
my own compiled kickstart says 3.5 because the exec was hacked and optimized for a faster boot on the time of os3.5..
I not changed it because I like it

I voted 1.3 simply because it's the most compatible with games and demos. 3.1 is undoubtedly better in terms of features and for use in "real" computing, but all my games run on 1.3
