It's a very good game, but what awaits you at the bottom... it's no Chaos, that's for sure. With all the awesome creature designs I expected a bit more.

Yeah, I know what you mean, I felt kinda dissapointed too, like they ran out of ideas... but the fight is pretty cool and keeps your heart pumping, that's for sure!
You gonna re-play the game again in you-know-who mode?

first I have to unlock you-know-who, unfortunately I missed that one tiny button. I'll do that on my hard playthrough, in a month or two or something. Hopefully by then some new stuff will have emerged also.

From what I've seen in the trailer, movement looks sloooooow. I want Dungeon Master speed

I think it's very fast, actually, on my 4 years old pc, EoB fast like. Except in level 6, i think it was, when i farmed for some hours and the floor was littered with some five hundred shields, spears and food chuncks everywhere.

It appears slow because it moves like Dungeon Master 2, but it is actually quite speedy. A bit too speedy at times, I've had some adrenaline moments when hunted down by 4 enemies chucking fireballs.

1. Trailer's there to show off graphics, not a speedrun.
2. Some secrets rely on fast moving and trust me, a LOT of folks had problems with those and asked how to slow them down.
3. Finish the game with that special someone and you will get a super-speedy character to play...

One question: Would the puzzles work in an Amiga based DM style game?

Most of the puzzles I have seen in an Amiga based DM style game Its not like you can be terribly original in a game like this, it has puzzles from DM, EOB, ...

Check out some videos on the map editor, then you see how the game ticks.

It's a very good game. Unfortunately, i now suck at video games. I never finished the game, but i made it to level 9.

Interesting. Hope to see someone, somewhere convert that dungeon to DM.

As usual for me, I'm only catching up after an Nth time period.... What an incredible game...... I saw this thread today at work and purchased it for 13,99 at Steam, including the editor. It's an amazing game and the editor gives me the opportunity to create 'kid-friendly' dungeon crawls for my two daughters of 4 and 7 years old...

Are you saying that somebody somewhere is making versions of Dungeon Master and Black Crypt using the Grimrock Dungeon Editor ?

If so I cannot wait

Yep! I dont know about black crypt, but dm and eob most certainly. Apparently the editor allows quite a bit so you're not stuck with what the original game does.

New official grimrock content is also on the way which will include some funky new enemies. I like games that get continued support and dont just get sequelled away.
