Yes, and it wouldn't be very difficult. Might be doable in HAM even. You just shouldn't prerender (in lowres) too much and you can forget about smooth movement and nice lighting effects.

more updates on the game. Seems the game is going out of beta soon and it will most likely be distributed through Steam among other platforms. That would make Gimby a happy person; I'm not ashamed to say that I am more interested in playing this than I am in playing Skyrim.

Same here. Don't know what Skyrim is exactly, but it's probably another easy RPG, so hopefully this one will be a real challenge (preferably with tough bosses).

That would convert to AGA quite nicely.

You have been living under a rock eh? Easy certainly not, but still more "accessible" than its predecessors.

I don't have the peecee to play games from even five years ago, so why would I keep up with the latest game developments?

Of course, with prerendered graphics and no smooth movement this game could work well on the Amiga.

We live in the same country matey, and you'd have to be very elusive to completely ignore the marketing campaign that surrounded it here

Also: you are a self-proclaimed computer nerd. Nuff said.

If this campaign was on TV, then I've missed it because I don't watch TV anymore (except Merlin on BBC1), and haven't for years.

Indeed, but that doesn't mean I have to follow every new little thing, especially not some hyped up game

Perhaps not elusive, but certainly impenetrable this Thorham. My hat off to you yet again.

Woohoo, seems like Grimrock is coming this April!

http://www.grimrock.net/

That is a nice release date, seeing as it is arriving before Guild Wars 2. Which is the game that will likely cause me to completely neglect any other game for at least two years. Poor Diablo 3, you didn't make it on time.

What would be superb is if they release a level editor and someone re-creates Dungeon Master or Bloodwych on it with modern graphics - at least I can hope!

Its available for pre-order! Release date: 11th of April!

http://store.steampowered.com/app/207170/

Or through other channels, for more information check the main site

http://www.grimrock.net/

If you pre-order it through the site now you save a few bucks. Doesn't seem to be possible to pre-order through Steam

True , and i miss this kind of games immensly.

The problem that killed this type of games is Doom mainly, and 3D graphics and Pentium.

If there was no Doom, and we stayed on 386-486 type of processors, we would had many games like Lands of Lore, EOB2 etc...

Who remembers that Lands of Lore 2 was going to be like Lands of Lore, that is, no 3D graphics, and no 3D, but beautiful VGA bitmaps. I saw the first early previews, they looked beautiful.

But, then, we had Doom, and it's clones, then Quake, and when LOL2 was out, it was hideous 3D, pixellated, with digital photographic actors...

Don't diss it too much, LoL 2 was good fun. Quite buggy though (not as bad as LoL3 which crashed within the first 2 minutes without a patch...). And it certainly impressed me graphically back then I can remember; when Doom is what you're used to, that explosion of color, large open worlds and indeed digitized actors was a breath of fresh air.

The fact that the actors were digitized wasn't the actual problem btw, it was the really horrific acting that made it an eye sore
