From the official forums:

KryoFlux 2.0 b9 Release 1 (Windows only):

- added write support for ADF (DD & HD). Read the manual (!), don't mix DD data and HD disks and vice versa.
- added support for even more protection formats used on the C64 (see list in DTC or manual)
- manual background removed; happy printing. Please don't print if you don't have to.

Enjoy.

Hi,

I have a noob question...
The KryoFlux can write IPF and ADF files back to disk.
Is the same true for RAW files?
I mean: if I dump (using the KryoFlux of course) an IBM PC floppy as a RAW file for preservation purposes, will it be possible to write back that file to (another) disk?

Kudos to the Kryoflux guys (Mr IFW in particular of course!) for this - something I've been waiting patiently for, and it appears as if by magic
Many thanks for all the work you've put into this (and SPS preservation in general)!

I don't think so. Documentation says "sector images" and I can't see any automatic method that would work with extended ADFs, especially if is non-standard format. Gap/write splice position is unknown in extended ADFs and it is impossible to write bit-perfect write splice.

Tony is absolutely right for the reasons mentioned. Undefined raw data just does not write very well. Same reason KF raw (STREAM) would also be a gamble.

When i say my extended ADF, i mean the one that are not using any crap scheme like those (GAP/Write splice) for instance.

all those with longtracks can be written back with no problem.

You don't really know what are you talking about.. No raw track can be written back blindly. It simply won't work.

Just for the record:

KryoFlux 2.0 b9 Release 1 (Windows, Linux & Mac OS X):

- updated Mac OS X port, now Windows, Linux and Mac OS X have the same feature set.

Many thanks to Alexander Coers and Adam Nielsen for porting the beast.

Just looking thru the documentation and noticed the -wp0 -wp1 options..
I won't understand anything too complicated :-), but why is there a difference in floppy for the destination system?
I know it talks about the bitcell size, but I've no idea what that is...

I always thought that a game, whether PAL or NTSC was the same data...

If I'm going to be playing an ADF that was designed for a PAL Amiga on my NTSC Amiga, do I use -wp1 as the destination system is an NTSC Amiga or -wp0 as the original ADF was designed for a PAL system (assuming the ADF is a PAL game)..

I just assumed disks were PAL/NTSC agnostic...

Just interested,..
