C64 emulatorīs (A64 by Questronix)

I apologize for opening the topic but I'm very curious and full of doubts ... I'd like to play C64 games on my A1200 and installed the emulator A64 by Questronix, never tested another emulator yet...tested some diskimageīs games but when i try to load the file only appears Zzzzz and game doesnīt run , I donīt know need configure something more ?

Not sure, I think the manual is available at the EAB file server though.
You would probably be better off using a better emulator like Frodo.

I found Magic 64 is the fastest of the lot, but even that you'll need an 030 processor to get decent results. Frodo was far more compatible, but you'll pay for that with speed.

If i'm not mistaken, a64 was meant to be used with a special plug that connected a real 1541 drive to the Amiga in order to be able to load software. I tried the emu in the past, and it crashed right away, so i think that without the special hardware is a lost cause. Frodo has a high compatibility but is slow on anything below 060, so i would try magic64 as suggested.

Yes it was I did some beta testing worked good with a real 1541 hooked
up to it also these cables will also work with A64..
