Support for multiport MIDI interfaces

I'm posting here in response to this thread on the Bars & Pipes Pro discussion list:

The TP midi-out uses the Amiga's serial port hardware
handshake output lines as a switch to the required midi-out.
Toni, the WinUAE programmer, would have to map those serial
lines to a multi-port USB device.
Unless he specifically supports the TP, TP won't work at all
on WinUAE.

Not enough information. I won't research this myself because I don't need or care about MIDI.

Why not use uaeserial.device units?
