Fastest Amiga Games

I am in the mood to play a Fast.... Amiga game

What are the fastest Amiga Games

in terms of screen update, so for example a Driving game that runs really quick (F1 maybe?), or a side scrolling shooter the shifts really quick (bonus level from Turrican II?)

any ideas?

Be sure to check the turbo mode available in Vroom Multi-Player (I suppose it was what DDNI meant) (I never played F1 so I honestly don't know if it is or not indeed faster)

Buggy Boy - it's done for 68000@ 7MHz and has nothing to restrict the game speed and so with a 060 it really flies...

I thought there would be a few games that would work too fast on accelerated machines... Although that is a cool idea, I am looking for games that are naturally fast

What about Tearaway Thomas, the Amiga's answer to Sonic? Strangely it doesn't come with any paracetamol.

There's only one SCR, not counting the updated version with new tracks because that's just the same game really.

Complete the first division, and it's on to the much faster "Super League".

From the WHDLoad readme :
Quote:
- Turbo mode included (toggle with F2)
There's also a 'Stunt Car Racer (1989)(MicroStyle)[f AGA Galahad][h][Stunt Car Racer Turbo]' in TOSEC.

Not so, I did a Turbo version of SCR, and its infinetly quicker than the original game.

EDIT: TCD beat me too it!

F1GP with F1GP-Ed is fluid on 060; you get fps upgraded from 8 to about 20 - don't remember the exact max figure.

Looks good... The music with robot voice sounds cool... Doesn't the score get in the way?

It only feels fast because you need to run like hell to finish a level before the timer runs out!

ok... found it in my TOSEC collection

found out that its a shareware title, but its not filed as PD ?

why is it not in HOL?

trying it now, in WINUAE

----
ok... its fast, the music is quite good... but wow the "demoscene" scrolling backgrounds are a nightmare! and its way too fast... didnt really understand the armoury bit, they should of forgone the speed and extreme overkill on the colours and had bigger (better drawn) main sprites and infact better drawn foreground would of been a massive improvement

Entactogenic is a descriptive name applied to psychoactive drugs with effects similar to those of MDMA... if you play this you'll understand why the developers called themselves Entactogenic Design

Because it's a Shareware title. Feel free to provide the necessary info and it'll end up in HOL eventually

No Second Prize was fast even on a stock A500. Wasn't it sorta response to Mega Drive's Virtua Racing at the time?

Since Datastorm has already been mentioned...

Mega Typhoon (A500+ and up)

I guess Operation Wolf type shooters could be something if you to click fast...

Wasn't there a Sonic clone? I forget the name.

Silkworm is an utterly fantastic, supreme fab shootemup

In Zool, there is a Fast mode you can turn on, making the game almost unplayable
Maybe a show off to the "Blast processing" Megadrive ads from SEGA.

I just tried the ADF version of "Stun car racer" on my standard amiga. During d game, F1 = sound filter on/off, F2 = switch PAL/NTSC mode, and abracadabra... F3 = turbo on/off.

To play the game in turbo mode changes everything, it is soooo smooth and fast, a biiiiig pleasure really !!! Every owners off an A1200 must try this turbo mode ! And in network play, it must be a total blast !
