It's supposed to say Commodore Amiga.

Google-i-oogle...
http://www.logan-5.co.uk/commodoresa...ankplatoon.JPG
http://gamesdbase.com/Media/SYSTEM/C...Prose_Ltd..jpg

I have actually not bought any of these games new at the time, all of them have been bought in the last 10 years or so. When I peel labels it also usually involves a hot air gun and some "kemisk ren bensin" from ICA. I noticed there was some scotch tape on the lower right corner of the Populous-box and the yellow sticker on the "INDY..."-box is a sales seal (so you couldn't open it and then return it again) - maybe I should lift these and scan again?

Those tidied up nice!
Great work!

Not a lot of activity in this thread, I'll ask at vintagegames.se and commodore64.se if they'd like to help out...

Here's Populous front without the tape in the lower right corner and the perhaps un-wanted Kixx edition of "Indy... Last Crusade" with no half removed price tag in the upper left corner and no "exchange seal" over the Kixx-logo.

Both in 300dpi as usual.

You're right (see my post #19: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=752932&postcount=19), at least regarding the descreening procedure, which would require at least 600dpi.

A great thread though!

It seems to have worked anyway, Pinball Fantasies looks goodie goodie - wonderful job so far bLAZER, lovely pictures, which I had a new looking collection like that.

I just got a few pictures from Hedning on commodore64.se, he had a better Monkey Island 2, but you seemed to have cleaned that up nice.

As I had already uploaded it I might as well link to it, also Last Ninja 3, Monkey Island and Space Quest III:

Maybe a list of all titles that are done in the first message in the thread could be a good idea? They could possibly be uploaded to postimage.org and be linked to as well in case there are variations and if those are interesting. I'm guessing first edition boxes are highest priority?

Great!

Yes, I can start with listing all the titles in the first message, and do the linking later.

Edit:
Ok, listed all finished boxes to the first message, and some links added.

Here's a re-scan of Monkey Island, I noticed it was a bit blurry in the title area so I got this instead from Hedning and it's much better:

Hi bLAZER,
I looked at your wallpapers at http://andreas.blazer.nu/wallpapers.php.

They are really really nice, I like them a lot .
I'm going to use one of them as my Windows desktop.

Your raytraced pictures are also very noticeable.

Hi e5frog, your scans are so good, thanks for your work!

@ bLAZER:
I'm very sensible to preservation... and I would like to see more hires (>= 300 dpi) box scans for Amiga games/programs. It seems they are rare to find...
Is there a website (or ftp site) with some more of them?
Did you erase the raw scans you have (besides the ones by e5frog), or are they available somewhere?
Thanks a lot in advance

Hey dude, I dont' know of any site or ftp with highres scans, the best ones I've found is at http://www.exotica.org.uk/wiki/Amiga_Game_Box_Scans and they are not very high res.

I still have all the scans I've got though, they're about 600 mb.

You're right, the resolution (and filesize) is not high

Great . Will you put them online somewhere? (when you have time, for preservation purposes)

I can do like I did in the first message, look at American Tag Team. I'll use http://postimage.org since they at least say the images will never get deleted (Imageshack deletes after one year inactivity).

Uuuh, wonderful!

P.S. I suppose you could also upload them on Magix ftp server... (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?...ght=ftp+server)
he will be glad to host them (I hope).
