I wonder what is Fat Man's opinion towards Nyan Cat. One guy even made an orchestral version of it.

Btw this episode reminded me of Thinking in Forth. It's one of those computer books that you want to read even if you have no interest in Forth itself whatsoever.

Never did realize that there are no rats in there. How can you have a dungeon without rats!?

Wow, this is some pretty impressive SPAM. They went as far as fetching a genuine post from another forum:

Truly awesome episode. If you ain't seen it yet, perhaps you didn't like the previous two episodes with the Fat Man so much for whatever reason, don't skip this one!

Thanks, all! I'm getting close to 150, and if all goes according to plan, get ready for a tad of Amiga awesomeness!

Would be fun if its Tony. Sorry, mr. Crowther. If so be sure to ask him why he made Knightmare as impossible as it is. There is some revenge in there for something, what have we poor gamers done to him to deserve that?

Gimbal: Here's an interview I found in AF 31 page 42 with Mr Crowther on adventure games and Knightmare. Not much but it's a start.

Hi, guys!!!

Has anyone here used this before?
http://games.softpedia.com/get/Freew...emomaker.shtml

I'd like to create an Amiga-style cracktro scrolling text that goes along the bottom over the top of some other footage. Anyone have experience with this or would be willing to help?

You need something in OCS graphics mode to give it the distinct Amiga look.

Maybe the coder guys here could patch their existing sources and give you a bunch of still frames that you could cut into a video? Alternatively something similar could be done in BlitzBasic.

Thanks, Gilgamesh!

It's been too long since I've used BB to have a chance at getting that done before the episode. I was hoping there was some kind of program or script I could just paste my text into and have it do all the work for me.

Look what I found.

Do you have something in mind that the RSI Demo Maker is not capable of?

Yeah right, completely forgot to mention

I guess that game is timeless. The gameplay is nearly as simplistic as Tetris, and just as addictive. And the music score just perfect. Damn, I wish there were more flutes and acoustic guitars in games.

I wish the game used Battle.net to store player data like Diablo 2 does so it wouldn't be hacked to hell - it would still be a very decent multiplayer game if it got upgraded like that; not at all the same experience as D2 too, the games manage to be sufficiently different that you can still reach back to D1 and not be bored.

Matt: I'd certainly recommend RSI Demo Maker for your needs, just put your text in and select the type of effect. Very easy to use.
