FPGA Replay Case
Hi guys,
I have decided to design a housing for the FPGAArcade Replay. Some of you maybe remember I did a few runs of minimig housings. There will be two kit versions of cases including spacers and bolts. The cases will be made from Plexiglas just like the minimig cases. Versions: 1. For the FPGAArcade Replay mainboard. 2. One for the FPGAArcade Replay Including the 060 daughterboard. This version will include a sunroof/hole for the processor so the heat sink can vent out the top op the case (only the square heat sink will be supported) ********* ********** UPDATE ********* ********** The first prototype for the FPGAARCADE is ready ;-)) This is the version for use with the FPGAARCADE mainboard only (so the mainboard without the daughterboard from Yacube) There are two set options: Set 1 AMI: Amiga Set Complete set including spacers and bolds Including Amiga Text and boingball logo (see picture nr.1). Set 2 UNI: Universal set NONE logo's Complete set including spacers and bolds (see picture nr.2) I can supply more logo's in the future but we will see. If you are interested in one of this sets let me know I will keep a list of peoples interested. The minimal units I have to get is 25 before the production can take place. If The 25 units are confirmed I will e-mail ALL for payment then the production will start (I WILL DELIVER as I did in the past just look up the minimig cases thread) Cost: Set UNI Universal set E 28,50 shipment E 12,00 Set AMI Amiga Set E 36,00 shipment E 12,00 The case design including Yacube’s daughterboard is not begun yet because I don’t have any measurements. I will contact MikeJ or Yaqube if there is progress in rerouting the daughterboard for the CPU placement on the new daughterboard. ***** Update 16-5-2011 ***** Okey boys and girls, After some e-mail swapping between MikeJ and me there are some changes here. MikeJ has ask me if I want to use his original fpgaarcade logo on the case's (let me think ;-) YEEEEEEEEEEEES !!!! ) So here is a update from the case on drawing, the quality of the product will be the same as the pictures on page one, so only the engraving will change. The picture is for the amiga version the Universal version is the same like this without the amiga logo, DUhu.. The 060 daughterboard version will also include this logo and some other stuff ;-) Daughterboard version pending…. *** LIST of peoples who want a Set*** 1. 1 x Set AMI Maffoo @ Amiga.org 2. 1 x Set AMI Darrin @ Amiga.org 3. 1 x Set AMI gxenakis @ Minimig.net 4. Set 5. Set 6. Set 7. Set 8. Set 9. Set 10. Set 11. Set 12. Set 13. Set 14. Set 15. Set 16. Set 17. Set 18. Set 19. Set 20. Set 21. Set 22. Set 23. Set 24. Set 25. Set I Hope you all like this version ;-) HIRES PICTURES MEGAUPLOAD, PM me if the link is dead http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZOAKCUQ3 Last edited by wizard66; 16 May 2011 at 13:28. |

I'm interested ;D
Can you do a glass version as well as perspex, I would prefer glass with beveled edges ofc ![]() I don't mind paying a little more for glass if its more costly. So that 060 daughter board is actually a reality? This just gets better and better I cant wait for a release. I better start saving up ![]()

Today the prototype has arrived.
Now I have to measure the spacers and order the right bolds. The Plexiglas is 3mm thick, so nice and strong. I will display the pictures in a few day’s Production run @ the company has to be @least 25 unit’s. Prize will follow.

@Mr Wizard66
I take it the case design also accommodates the planned 060 add on board as well ? [edit] okay sorry, I didnt see there was Model #2 for a Heat vent hole for the 060. |

Great work, wizard66. When the replay+daughterboard become available, I'll definitely want a case.

as soon as it's clear how much the fpgaarcade, and optionally how much the 060 card will be, I'll know which version to order

MikeJ is rerouting the daughterboard so I dont have the specs yet. Yacubes Daughterboard is a other version then we will have. Be couse yacube's board don't have the double stacked connectors on his mainboard. It will take a some time to disign a case for that but I hope to be intime for the main release date.

Someone make a 3d model of a scaled down a600 (or a3000 to fit the daughterboard) designed to fit the replay, and we can have them 3D printed from shapeways.com.
Now that would be a suitable cabinet ![]() |
