Oh cool you found a copy? Not exactly legal, but oh well. Can't you just use ciderpress to extract the file from the hdv format? Which site is it on?

OK, I looked at it with CiderPress and Ultima I doesn't seem to be on there. There are no commercial games on it, only PD/shareware ones.

The file I downloaded is http://www.whatisthe2gs.apple2.org.z...rive_image.zip, is that the right one?

There are a number of different HDV images posted there, and I believe the one that I found it on was the "Board Games and RPGs" volume. Search for the CFFA review, and you'll find links to all of the 32MB images there. And as Castelian suggests, the easiest way to extract what you want from the hdv image is to use CiderPress. You can however use the images with a IIGS emulator. If I recall correctly, all you need to do is change the file suffix from hdv to 2mg.

Update: My memory seems to be failing me here. I just checked the most likely hdv images, and don't see Ultima there. I may have confused myself by installing the copy I bought to my downloaded copy of that hdv.

It actually reminded me of the game Gradius from 1985, which your game also looks very similar too. I agree though, these two have an uncanny resemblance

LOL. The graphics aren't anything to write home about, that's for sure. But that was never the point of the game. It's just a cute little space shooter and has Tom's signature written all over it with its quirky characters and sound. Good for a time waster and not much more. The best IIGS space shooter is either Space Fox or Space Clusters, IMO.

Hehe. Yeah the link I pasted mentions they "borrowed" the poster from that b-movie. One of the most misleading covers ever.

Sensei was a fighting game for the Apple IIGS, sort of a pseudo remake of International Karate for c64.
