I wouldnt be too hard on yourself. No matter how well versed a person is with their Amiga there's always a few programs here and there that are head scratchers as to why they wont work on a particular setup.

So, just saw your new ECS version. Tested it and it works fine.
The I saw the AGA version. Figured I have an A4000 040, I might try that. Works even better =)

Then I saw the RTG version. Hehe. Since I have a CyberVision64 with CyberGraphX 4, figured I try that.

Could not get it to start so I read through this thread. Created a 320x200 and 320x240 8 bit screenmodes. They both look fine on screen when testing it.

However, I do not get to chose resolution in ScummVM RTG? It starts in, what I think is 320x240 but its squeezed into the top half of the screen. Very hard to read what it says there but I managed to get DOTT demo started. It too is only in the top half of the screen.

Any ideas? Thanks =)

Well 2 out of 3 versions is not a bad run

I don't have an RTG Amiga so the RTG version is probably the weakest port. If I ever do a new version I will try and add better RTG support.

Agreed. Just finished Day of the Tentacle on the AGA version.

Just found one glitch. When you turn on the stereo as Bernard, the graphics does not update as it should when the screen is bouncing up and down and you can not see what you are clicking on really.

Since you're just supposed to turn it on and back off again, it was easily ignored =)

Thanks for the ports!

Yep I know that bug, I found it myself the other week when I played through the whole of DOTT (for the first time!).

It's a bug with the 'screen shake' code, I'll fix it up if I ever do another release.

Glad you like the ports

Sounds good :-)
I just have to mention that running the ScummVM RTG 060 on CGX4 / CVPPC it crashes/reboots the amiga. This happens in Both OS3.1 and 3.9

Must be a CGX4 issue as the 040/RTG version works perfect here with my CV64/3D using Picasso96

Also got the sound working through my Tocatta Sound Card which is pretty cool!

Awesome :-)

I forgot to mention that the 68060_AGA version works fine in the same setup.

I do agree that it might be the CGX, but there are not drivers for CVPPC for P96 (atleast not that I'm aware of) so I can't do more testing than that.

Indeed CVPPC you need to use CGX4.

FWIW 060 AGA version should be fast enough, RTG only really improves performance for 040 setups.

For example performance seems the same (or similar) with my A1200 B1260 + AGA version as the 040/RTG version on my A4000 whit WE040

Yep not really much performance advantage in using RTG over AGA at anything less that 640x480.

I think the 060 RTG version is the only one that supports Broken Sword.

it's not so much of a performance issue, but more of a
2 monitor issue.. rather than just using 1

and.. because you made it 060 / RTG

(but then again.. I'd have to use 2 monitors anyway for WHDload )

I just felt like reporting the issue... tbh if I want to play ScummVM I'd probably do it on the PC
playing it on the amiga is just because-I-can

If I ever get the time to do another RTG port I'll try and add support for more Scalers...that will be fun

This is some 'experimental stuff' I was working on ages ago:

No problem here - Amiga 4000 CyberstormPPC/CybervisionPPC with OS3.9/CGX4 runs SCUMMVM RTG very smooth and fast. Do you have the latest CGX4 update installed? http://phase5.a1k.org/index.php?cgx

I think I upgraded, but can't say for sure now.

and I can't test any more these days as I'm doing hacks to improve cooling in the A4000D

Got my main Amiga back from the grave, installing everything one by one to return it to what it was 10 years ago and waiting to test anything you throw at me

It's a 4000T with 060-66 604e-400 and CVisionPPC.

It would be nice to compile it for WarpUP RTG, this will help the heavy hi-res games a lot.
Since WarpSCUMM is really obsolete

I couldn't agree more. Warpup worked wonders with programs like Mame. I'm sure games like Monkey Island 3 or Broken Sword would run perfect using it.

I would also love to see an Scumm Warp PPC Update. With the old PPC Port and a pimped CyberstormPPC 366Mhz Monkey 3 is playable.
