You of course buy a loose old Gamecube console for peanuts and keep your nice sealed version for later!

However GCs are not worth anything now and to be honest I would rather enjoy my machines rather than keep them boxed and untouched. This has made me want to investigating having a go on my GC again.

Every Wii is a GC so I donīt think that the prices would really raise.

You might be correct as the two versions played most recently are pc and wii.

Still one of the best games ever though, and amazing valued for moneys.

Gamecube's RE4 (which was the title exclusive to GC at the time) puts to shame PS2's version in terms of graphics and loading time. You can find some videos comparing both versions, where you can see laughable, PS2's dragon fire effect. In fact aforementioned game plus Resident Evil Remake and Zero made me buy GameCube.

Resident Evil 4 plays at 60Hz Full Screen using PAL60 anyway...

As do 99% of Gamecube games.

So I think you've probably wasted your money!

Although it [Freeloader] will help you play JAP imports, so maybe it might be useful there. I have a couple of JAP games with my PAL machine.

Watch out with memory cards and cross-region game saves. I can't remember the exact circumstances but like in Ghostbusters - crossing the streams is bad.

The Villagers were the zombies, bloody annoying and hard to kill sometimes.

I thought RE4 was the best RE game although saving Ashley was a pain.

Thumbs up

GC RE4 FTW!

After completing the game first time around Ashley looks "different" in a pleasing way.
