That actually looks quite interesting, one model has VGA, and the price is reasonable too.

Does anyone have one or is there any reviews around?

I have the c-one.

Cores that I am running:

two C64 cores ('chameleon preview' and FGPA64) (using a real SID on board)
Amstrad CPC-6128 (with SymbOS -its fantastic)
VIC-20
minimig

I think the cores could be improved, but needs people to be involved there. The machine was (at the start) limited (see: they tried to cut the production cost) but now we have the FPGA extender board, so there is
plenty of room for the cores.

If the price is interesting, this is because they have reduced the electronics components. If you compare with the minimig, the MCC doesn't have a 68000, also no PIC/ARM and they replaced the SRAM by SDRAM.

You can run the minimig core with 8MB of Chip and L2 cache on the TG68 softcore .

It's sounds interesting to me.

BTW, I own a minimig and it's very good.

Update: well Alex I took your advice in the end and got myself an xbox.

Even though my htpc has more power for emulation it's connected to my projector and after some experimenting I found that retro games just don't suit such a large screen. This mirrors what I found with films too - DVD disappointing so I switched to HD/Bluray.

So I've got an xbox and am planning to get a cheap second hand 4:3 LCD TV to use with it. I've seen a 20" Toshiba model which is interesting, it has component and VGA inputs and the native panel resolution is 640x480 so it should suit SD - my plans are for an xbox and possibly a dreamcast to play around with.

What do people think of the idea of the 20" 4:3 TV? I'm hoping it will be ideal for using WinUAE-X and MAME on the xbox

If you need any advise for modding your xbox-1 then search for my thread here about soft-mods (or PM me). It's insanely simple with a memory card & a copy of Splinter Cell 1

Appreciate it - I don't have a copy of SC and don't have a USB adapter either so am prepping for the hot swap option. But family of 2 turned into 3 less than a fortnight ago so time is short and it looks like an involved process will hopefully get onto it soon
