Any recommended games to check out on Aminet?

Hi,

I was wondering if there were any really good games you guys could recommend on Aminet? Tried out 1497 but got a bit frustrated in WinUAE as i couldn't figure out what to do, despite playing Civilization for about 13 years. :P.

Thanks.

Try Galaga and Deluxe Galaga, they're really good, though if you're looking for good games check the EAB file server for disk images and WHDLoad installs of the old commercial titles (they're all abandonware or perhaps even in the public domain today).

Deluxe Pacman: Best Amiga Pacman IMO
Pacman 96: A close second
Space Taxi 3: Awesome gravity game, very addictive
Knockout 2: Hard to describe, demolition derby kind of game

Thanks guys, might not be on much next few days, live in England and as most of you will know, it sucks having -15 centigrade nights. -shudder-

Got a cold, sore throat, headache and stomach ache. But enough about that. :P

Hoping to get my stuff i need to get games onto my Amiga in 2 days if not tomorrow, definitely before the weekend as one parcel was shipped monday and the other tuesday. Specifically multiplayer games im looking for now, i know theres a few good commercial ones, Lemmings, Settlers and Lotus spring to mind, but any others? Especially those on Aminet.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Thanks Thomas, will have to look at that again.

Colonial Conquest 2 sounds very similar to Galactic Civilization and i really liked that.

Ah Galactic Civ's was based off an old 1993 OS/2 game, possibly why they are similar.

http://aminet.net/package/game/2play/Knights242 - split screen combat in dungeon
http://aminet.net/package/game/think/Evil125 - fantasy themed turn-based strategy
http://aminet.net/package/game/think/Pacomix2 - not multiplayer, but it's also fun.

Thanks Sir Xeno, your first post too.

Dynablaster is bomberman isn't it? I'll check it out nonetheless, only been privileged to play the Xbox 360 version of bomberman and i've come to expect newer versions of older games to be worse.
